Operation CARE Operation C.A.R.E. [Carolina Animal Rescue Effort] We are a 501c3 non-profit, all volunteer animal welfare organization based in Rock Hill, SC. Edmund Burke

Operation C.A.R.E. (Carolina Animal Rescue Effort) is a Rock Hill, SC non-profit, NO KILL, 501c3 all volunteer animal welfare organization saving animals in the Carolinas since 1990. Our Rescue-Adoption Program focuses primarily on the rescue of animals from high kill rural area shelters. However, we do occasionally attempt to help good Samaritans in the community who have found homeless or abandoned animals who are destined for shelters. Donations make it possible for us to continue our efforts. We are solely supported by donations and receive no other funding. Animals up for adoption through Operation C.A.R.E. have been fully vaccinated and spayed or neutered. Dogs have been tested for heartworms and cats have been tested for FeLV and FIV. These animals are cared for in foster homes where their personality and behavior can be assessed for the most appropriate permanent home. Mission
Our mission is to minimize the need for euthanasia of healthy, adoptable pets in local Carolina shelters by providing a low-cost spay/neuter option to people in the community and by providing temporary care for homeless animals until they can be placed in quality permanent homes. "Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing
because he could only do a little."

Who is looking for a young dog around 10 months to a year old?!

🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

We have these sweet babies who were all the last from their litter that just wasn’t adopted. All are insanely sweet and great with other dogs but we hate to see them grow up in the rescue!

We have decided to try to help boost them and are reducing their adoption donation to $175. That still includes all of their vet work and you MUST still go through the normal adoption process and be approved!

Information for each dog is in caption of their picture.
Adoption application link is listed below.

✨Ella✨

Shihtzu/Poodle mix
7 years old
12 pounds
Spayed female
Heartworm negative

Who wants the sweetest baby ever? That’s our girl, Ella! Ella spent a lot of her life as a baby machine living in a raised rabbit cage with two other dogs. She was in absolute horrendous condition when she came to us. We couldn’t even tell if she was a male or female due to the mats. It was awful!

Fast forward and Ella is thriving! She’s been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and had a dental. The vet aged her at about 7. She’s right in her prime and ready to learn what it’s like to be an absolute pampered princess. She is fantastic with other dogs, cats, and kids!

Ella’s adoption donation is $400. That covers (all Completed)her spay, distemper/parvo vaccine, rabies vaccine, dewormings, heartworm test, microchip, and a dental!

UPDATE: These two little babies are fighters! They are still incredibly weak but are eating and
Drinking better today!

Ok y’all hold onto your hearts and your temper!

Meet Suki and Jackson!

We recieved a call from a Good Samaritan that found 4 puppies in the woods as they were headed fishing. She said there was a few towels laid out and 4 tiny babies. In the one day/night since she called us, 2 of the babies passed away. None of which was her fault at all.

We met her at the vet the next morning and had them checked immediately. Parvo test was negative but their f***l was horrible. They have LOADS of Rounds, whips, and hook worms. We have started deworming, fluids, anti nasuea meds, as well as a lot of supportive care! They are literally dying from the amount of worms in their systems, not to mention their body condition!! Poor babies are vomiting worms.
I can’t even imagine how much their little drained bodies are feeling. Suki is a little stronger but Jackson is so tiny, he’s so very weak!

It really angers me to see these babies.
The fact that some POS decided to take them into the woods and dump them. If it would have been a day or two longer the Good Samaritan would have just found 4 dead puppies. It breaks our hearts and also makes us so angry. Poor innocent babies!

There isn’t much we can do but PRAY. We have to pray that what we are doing is enough to support their fragile bodies while them dewormer does its job. It’s so sad that parasites are such an easy fix but it’s come to this. As of this evening they are eating and wagging their little tails. It’s been a while since we’ve seen puppies this pitiful.

If you would like to help with these sweet babies, please Consider donating to them. We have a long road with these sweet babies. They are fighters, so we will fight along side of them! Ways to donate are listed below.
