5 years sober never looked so good 🙂 my 14 year old had us go to the beach yesterday to get some photos done to celebrate the day and this is my favorite one!!!

I wanted to check in with everyone. I truly apologize for my absence as life has hit hard. We’ve moved twice in less than a year and are finally in a good place despite revolving sicknesses, many trials and many tribulations. This Saturday, March 21, I will be celebrating FIVE YEARS SOBER. While this is a huge milestone in general, it’s even more of a milestone knowing that life has thrown every curveball possible at me to try and knock me down and I didn’t allow it to.

Unpopular Opinion: If your model of “addiction treatment” only works once someone’s not using, it’s not addiction treatment, it’s aftercare.
We need systems that meet people before abstinence, not just after it.
