6th SC Volunteers

6th SC Volunteers A nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching accurate history of the War Between the States. Officers are: President, Vernon W. Pappas.

Members volunteer at historic sites, community events, school presentations, and reenactments. Terry; Vice President, Mike Short; Secretary, Renee Bell Gallien; Treasurer, Colleen L. Monthly meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm. Contact via email for the current location. Membership requires an application, attendance at events, emergency contact information, a vote of membership for approval, and annual dues.

Here is the pre-registration form for the Skirmish at Cain Creek 2025! Note that the form WITH PAYMENT must be received before Friday, October 24, 2025, when on-site walk-on registration opens to qualify for the pre-registration reduced rate. Children: 7-16 $5.00 6 and under: free
NOTE: PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED WITH THE APPLICATION BEFORE FRIDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2025, TO QUALIFY FOR THE PRE-REGISTRATION REDUCED RATE. Make checks payable to the Sixth SC Volunteers. Also, please note that due to spotty internet access, only cash or checks can be accepted for walk-on registration.
Please include a registration sheet for each individual, not just a Unit Registration. List minors accompanying adults and give the relationship to the adult.

In case you missed this on the Battalion page, here is the 2024 schedule of events. Cheraw is coming up next weekend. Randy Jensen will be providing Co. C meals, and Tommy Pappas, Johnny Wilson, and possibly Dennis Wolfe are planning to attend. Mike Short and his grandson, Eli, plan to day trip on Saturday. Please let Randy know what meals you will need.
