Each week, children and teens can receive 3 free grab-and-go meals to help bridge the gap while school is out. No registration or ID is required. The program runs every Wednesday through August 5th

Summer EBT benefits are now being issued in Illinois.

Each eligible school-aged child will receive a one-time benefit of $120.

Most eligible families will receive benefits automatically, but some households may still need to apply.

Yesterday, our Wallace FDFY classroom took a field trip to see the Big Boy 4014 train as it traveled through Sterling Main Street! 🚂✨

The children had a great time watching the historic train roll by, and it was a beautiful day to get out of the classroom and make fun memories together.

All Tri-County Opportunities Council offices will be closed on Friday, June 5, as our staff come together for an All Agency In-Service focused on training, professional development, and celebrating the important work our team does throughout our communities.

Regular office hours will resume on Monday, June 8.

Thank you for your understanding as we invest in our staff to better serve the individuals and families who rely on our programs and services.

Summer Reading kicks off in three days!
On Monday, June 1st, you'll be able to register for the LaSalle Public Library's Summer Reading Program for Children or for Teens & Adults. Then you'll have until August 1st to earn prizes by reading and participating in library events and programs. For more information about either of our Summer Reading Programs, visit our website at www.lasallepubliclibrary.org, or come in and speak to any of our librarians.

Not sure which option is right for your family? Here’s a quick breakdown:

🟦 Early Head Start supports expecting mothers and children from 6 weeks to age 3. Families may qualify for home-based visits or center-based classrooms, depending on location and eligibility. Our Early Head Start center-based classrooms operate year-round and are located in Ottawa, Streator, and Sterling. 👩🏻‍🏫

🟥 Head Start serves children ages 3 to 5 in a center-based preschool setting. Our part-year Head Start classrooms are located in Dixon, Lacon, LaSalle, Mendota, Ottawa, Paw Paw, Rochelle, Seneca, Spring Valley, Sterling, and Streator. We also offer two full-year Head Start classroom options in Ottawa and Sterling. 🏫
