We announced our first round of 2022 legislative endorsements today. These 4 candidates have proven their strong commitment to labor and our freedom to organize in unions. Each candidate completed a MN AFL-CIO questionnaire, attended a screening open to all union members and staff, and received at least 2/3 support from both our COPE committee and the MN AFL-CIO General Board.

More endorsements will be coming soon.

Our labor council and the Minnesota AFL-CIO are proud to endorse Assistant Senate Minority Leader Nick Frentz. Frentz has proven his strong commitment to labor and working families, maintaining a 100% lifetime voting record since he was first elected in 2016.

This week the AFL-CIO will consider a resolution on Racial & Economic Justice submitted by the MN AFL-CIO, the 6 MN CLCs, and the state retiree council. Our labor council is proud to have led the effort on submitting this resolution and look forward to it passing.

The online Frontline Worker Pay application portal opens tomorrow, June 8th at 8am. Visit https://frontlinepay.mn.gov for information and eligibility requirements. If you or any employee needs assistance on applying, message us. Our staff are trained on the application process and ready to help.

Gov. Tim Walz signed a bill passed by the Minnesota Legislature providing bonus pay for eligible COVID-19 frontline workers. Details of the program are still being finalized and will be posted here when they are available. Sign up here to receive updates about Frontline Worker Pay.
