The Pearls Leadership Home for Young Men
**A home for young men of excellence**

In today's society, a vast majority of young males are not afforded the same opportunities as their counterparts. Graduation rates are down, incarceration is on the rise and violence within the community is rampant. The Boy's Leadership Home is a place where young men who have references, obvious

background discrepancies, and a serious need and want for a better education and lifestyle, can get it. A structured 24-hour schedule, coupled with nutritious daily meals, clean bedding arrangements, fully stocked toiletries, and an enthusiastic and caring team of counselors, teachers, and mentors will help to shape attitudes, mentalities, and most importantly the way the boys view themselves. below

Dear Friends
You are invited to Believe I'll Testify, Thursday, 2/26/26 6:30pm-7:45pm EST, a forum designed to dispel myths and negative connotations associated with mental health treatment. Join us as we demonstrate the thoughtful art of "Testimony." We believe everyone has a story to tell. Each session consists of an anointed guest speaker, who shares their struggles and triumphs with stress and anxiety. A short lesson is taught and time is set aside for everyone to share. We are delighted to have Dr Sherry Davis Molock as our guest speaker.
Dr. Sherry Davis Molock is a Professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Dr. Molock teaches undergraduate and doctoral courses in clinical psychology and researches the prevention of su***de and HIV in African American youth. Thirty years ago, she first discovered her calling was to help prevent su***de among Black people, as rates of su***de continued to rise among Black adolescents. Since then, she has been adamant that Black churches could lead the way on teen mental health and su***de prevention and has worked diligently to implement su***de prevention programs for Black youth in predominately Black churches.
In addition to her work in psychology, Dr. Molock is a founding pastor and Pastor Emeriti of the Beloved Community Church – United Church in Christ in Fort Washington, Maryland. Their ministry focuses on “family healing” which is designed to bring spiritual, physical, and emotional healing to the community. She joins program host Dr. Chris Meek on Next Steps Forward to discuss a reluctance in the Black community to acknowledge mental health problems, how her work continues to challenge misconceptions about Black people and su***de, how faith leaders can recognize mental health issues within their congregations and ensure their parishioners are comfortable speaking about them, and both the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for her HAVEN Connect Workshops.

My name is Pearl Isabel, I’m 32 years old, a single mom, and a small business owner. I gave my life to Christ two years ago, and since then I’ve been learning to walk boldly in the purpose He’s called me to. My life is a reflection of God’s comfort and faithfulness, and I hold close to 2 Corinthians 1:4–7, which reminds me that the trials we endure are never wasted but are used to encourage and strengthen others. I’m honored to share how God has been moving in my life and writing my story for His glory.

Each session consists of an anointed guest speaker, who shares their struggles and triumphs with stress and anxiety. A short lesson is taught and time is set aside for everyone to share. We are delighted to have Helen Ball as our guest speaker. In her own words..
My name is Helen Ball. I was born in New Rochelle NY and raised in Uniondale New York.
I was raised by my mom and my dad, which was a little complicated due to the fact that my father was a sea man and spent more than half my life away from home on ships. My mom was left with most of the responsibility for raising myself and my brother. They had two different styles of childrearing. My mother was quite lenient, and my father was quite stern. You can imagine that could be confusing for the children involved. I was not raised in church. I was not a bad child, but I was also not the easiest child, and at the age of 18 I left home one day with a boyfriend My parents did not approve of, and came home and announced that I was married and just like that my life changed forever. My ex-husband was addicted to drugs for the entirety of our 18-year marriage. Since I was so very young, I had the idea that I could change him. This was not to be. That marriage produced three children who amazingly turned out to be good people not without their issues but all three love the Lord. During our marriage, we separated briefly, and during that time I was introduced to Jesus Christ and received the gift of the Holy Spirit. In 1978. I eventually moved with my children alone to Virginia several years later after briefly reconciling, I was divorced from my children’s father.
Fast forward through a period where I backslid became someone I did not recognize, and finally received back into the arms of the Lord in 1991. In 1992 I became part of a church which was very very strict,. It was there I met and married my second husband. I was under the illusion that we would have a Holy Ghost utopia just because I believed he was a man of God. The problem was we both had just come to the Lord. I was just returning and he had just found the Lord. We were both broken and we carried that broken relationship for 30 years. It never did fit and so here I am 70 years old divorced for a second time but thankful That God has been with me, and every day I grow and discover new aspects of life .
During both my relationships God is bless me to become a registered nurse with a degree in business and he blessed me with a career that is prepared me for this time in my life .
I am now retired to live alone next to my 100-year-old aunt in a home that used to belong to my parents. Every day, I learn something new.
I have my children, my grandchildren, but most of all my God.
There has been a lot in between, but too much to write. I’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding my life and how I’ve been living.
