Rochester/University-Medical Center on 30 Celebration Drive in Rochester, where we’re turning up the heat on emergency service education! Dynamic hands-on training (HOT) for firefighters will be held at the Public Safety Training Facility on Friday, while EMS offerings will be held at the hotel. Classroom-based offerings for all first responders will be held at the hotel on Saturday.

The STEP Conference will be held March 22nd-23rd, 2024 with a preconference on March 21st at the Hilton Garden Inn at College Town, 30 Celebration Drive, Rochester, NY 14620.
STEP is partnering with Monroe County Fire Chiefs, NYS Fire Chiefs and Vigilant Fire Training to provide a dedicated fire-related track in addition to the educational offerings for EMS, first responders and others interested in public safety and health-related issues. They are sponsoring a Thursday evening presentation by Nationally recognized speaker, Michael Lombardo, Commissioner & Chief of Department of the Buffalo Fire Department from 2006 to 2010, who will also be doing presentations during Friday sessions. There will be no charge for the Thursday presentation, but registration is required.
Other plenary speakers include EMS Medical Director Dr Jeremy Cushman, Toxicologist Michelle Caliva, ED Physician Dr Maia Dorsett, and Pediatricians Drs Art Cooper, Elizabeth Murray & Elise Vanderjagt.
For the full conference, including breakfast and buffet lunch both days, plus the usual breaks, and coffee all day both days, the fee for attendees is only $210 if registered by March 18th. Additional pricing for a single day or for the preconference can be found on the registration site. Parking in the garage is free in the hotel parking spaces in the garage.

A dedicated fire track features interactive and scene management workshops. The EMS tracks include workshops on pediatrics, geriatrics, and trauma among other interesting topics.
As in past years, the vendor area will be open from 7:30am to 4pm on Friday, while on Saturday, the vendor area will be open until after lunch. For the full conference, including breakfast and buffet lunch both days, plus the usual breaks, and coffee all day both days, the fee for attendees is only $205 if registered by March 1st. Additional pricing for a single day or for the preconference can be found on the registration site. Parking in the garage is free in the hotel parking spaces in the garage.
