The ESD website is a free public service developed by the Society for Total Emergency Programs, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization. Its main purpose is to provide educational and informational resources to EMS, Fire, Law Enforcement and other public safety and health-related organizations to enhance services to the community. The ESD website and regional printed directories were dev
eloped to further this goal. Features of www.emergencyservicesdirectory.org include:
- Search capability for over 4000 public safety and health-related organizations including selected equipment and service capabilities as provided by agencies
- Search for physicians’ phone and hospital affiliations to help transport person to the correct affiliated hospital
- Expanded search capability on security-protected information by agency, county or state administrators
- Search capability for physicians when available (located under organization type) with office phone numbers and hospital affiliations
- News page containing info on recalls, government advisories and other info pertinent to emergency or health personnel
- Education page listing upcoming regional or state conferences/classes with links to additional information. Also includes links for EMS protocols for each region in NYS and many other useful resources
- Ability to purchase copies of printed regional directories as they become available
- Information on how you can become involved in expanding directory services in your area
