Friends of the Arts in Brighton FAB believes in the value of Arts education, and celebrates and supports the BCSD Arts program And that's why we created FAB. Join the celebration!

The Arts play a vital role in the education of our children, building skills such as: empathy, flexibility, collaboration, self-knowledge,risk-taking, self-expression, resilience, self-control, cultural awareness, and acceptance of differences. As an engaged community, we can play a role in strengthening the Arts programs in our schools. We can help our dedicated teachers recognize their visions f

or programs and experiences that will enhance the lives of our children in lasting and meaningful ways. Working together, we can make contributions that far outweigh the sum of our individual efforts. Like our page to find out more about the Brighton Arts scene, and ways you can help.

Twelve Corners Middle School proudly presents “A Wrinkle in Time” Shows are at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in the TCMS Auditorium, 2643 Elmwood Ave. Thursday's show will be with understudies, and Friday and Saturday will be with the lead performers. General admission tickets are $5 and can either be purchased online (https://cur8.com/548/project/139667) up to two hours before the show, or at the door. The show runs around 1 hour, 45 minutes, including a 15-minute intermission.

One of literature's most enduring young heroines, Meg Murry, is back — braces, stubbornness and all. Once again, she's joining forces with Mrs. Whatsit, Charles Wallace, Calvin O’Keefe and more to battle the forces of evil so she can rescue her father, save humanity, and find herself. In the end, we know two things for sure: 1. Love CAN overcome evil and 2. There IS such a thing as a tesseract.
