Join Rotary for breakfast on October 25 from 7:00-11:00 am at various Rochester restaurants to help END POLIO NOW!

Five local restaurants and Eagle Rock Bank are teaming up with the Rotary Clubs of Rochester to help raise awareness and funds to end polio—and all you have to do is enjoy a great meal at one of the participating locations listed in the flier.

Volunteers Needed! The Rotary Clubs of Rochester will be providing friendly greeters at Hollandberry/Pannekoeken from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and the VFW Mess Hall Tavern & Grill from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Volunteers will hand out End Polio Now stickers and flyers, and thank diners for supporting these generous restaurants that have made a contribution to our campaign. Two volunteers per shift are needed, so if you can lend a hand, please reach out to Terry Sorenson, Vicki Allen, or Ashok Patel to sign-up. It’s a simple and fun way to make a difference—plus, you might see some familiar faces while you’re at it!

Joanne Rosener has a long history with United Way of Southeast Minnesota, first volunteering in 1963 and later serving as Board Chair in 2014. She also served on the committee that hired our current President, Jerome Ferson.

After a 30-year career at Mayo Clinic, Joanne has dedicated her retirement to giving back. She has served on numerous boards—including the Rochester Public Library, Parks Foundation, and Rotary—and was honored with the Mayor’s Medal of Honor in 2021.

We’re excited to welcome Joanne as a panelist tomorrow at the History Center of Olmsted County!

Extremely grateful to fellow Rotarians like Randy Stocker and Marilyn Deling who unite for helping our City unite for supporting basic needs like food (JP), social emotional learning (Rochesterfest; Friendhip committees/Sister Cities- Akita), walking (WWAD), and even sharing healing narratives (workplaces). Each of these ‘small’ acts of loving kindness do make a positive Rotary difference & reinforce hope/trust/peace between all!! 🙏🏾❤️🌈😇☮️
