We are the Rochester NY chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers, a national organization uniting animal care professionals from around North America. It wouldn’t be National Zookeeper Week without some friendly competition now would it? Our best and brightest competed this week to bring glory and honor to their team, let’s see how they did!

Team Harley’s Fan Club started out with an early lead by picking out and putting together their puzzle pieces first, but Team Venom rose above for the electrical cord untangling challenge!

Teams then had to paint the Mona Lisa (as a sea lion of course), giving Harley’s Fan Club another win! Team Venom was able to train their way to the top and won the keeper training test, leading to a close match up!

In the end, Harley’s Fan Club took home the gold this year, but stayed tuned for next year’s Keeper Olympics!
