Although due to the COVID-19 pandemic, StrongART team is not able to continue painting masks until further notice; we cannot wait to be back, more motivated than ever, on our mission to spread the message of hope and positivity to children at Wilmot Cancer Center.

Below are some memories from our last work as a team on two masks, one requested to be painted as the Paw Patrol and the other, as the sunset. We are forever thankful to our volunteers who put the time to come in and add the colors of hope and love to the radiation masks!

Nothing is more precious than having a team of very humble and talented volunteers who care to bring a smile on a child’s face as they go through their first radiation therapy cycle. We all thank you for putting the time today to paint this “sushi” radiotherapy mask, requested by a child at Wilmot Cancer Center. On Tuesday, December 3rd, a group of our most dedicated StrongART volunteers painted a mask to the figure of Michaelangelo (from Ninja Turtles) for a child who would be starting their radiation therapy this week.

Once again, we feel beyond fortunate to be able to convey the message of hope, strength, and courage through painting the radiation masks for children at Wilmot Cancer Center.

This Friday, a group of amazing StrongART volunteers painted a mask to the figure of Piplup, a Pokemon character, requested by a young patient who would be starting their radiation treatment this week at Wilmot Cancer Center.

We are thankful to all our passionate volunteers who attended our Friday session and added the colors of hope and positiveness to this radiation mask.

What better way to spend our Friday afternoon than painting a radiation mask?We had yet another request for Spider-Man!

Do you know Te Fiti from the Disney Animation, Moana? The God that had her heart stolen by the demigod Maui?
As requested, our volunteers painted a head and shoulder radiation mask to the figure of Te Fiti. The details of the design and the painting are absolutely amazing!

We feel extremely fortunate to be part of children's radiation treatment at Wilmot Cancer Center and to provide as much support as we can!

September marks the beginning of the Children Cancer Awareness Month. For the past year, painting the radiotherapy masks to figures of heroes and other children characters has been our way of contributing to the enhancement of children's radiation therapy.

We are posting our sign up sheet here. We will soon have our general interest meeting which would be a great opportunity to come together and learn more about Children's radiation and StrongART's mission.
