Now is the time in the greater Rochester, NY area to apply beneficial nematodes for borer control! We have an order that has just arrived. While the last we will divide them into smaller packets to share. You can apply these with a hose end sprayer. They must be picked up immediately and applied ASAP. You can contact Neil D Houghton at 585-301-8256. Leave a name, the purpose of your call and phone number. Speak clearly! I will return you call. Each packet will cover 1/10 acre and cost $7.20. There are various types of nematodes, these are specially recommended for IRIS BORES. The website below will show you more information. These are “Nemaseek.” Heterorhabditis bacteriophora.

These will be available tomorrow afternoon. It scheduled to rain and tomorrow night would be perfect to apply. They should be applied close to or after sunset or very early in the morning. They are light sensitive and should be watered in.
