WellVentions is a program administered by ProsperRochester, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Youth who find classroom learning a challenge; create small-scale social enterprises at the Rochester Public Market as they discover careers, master emotional wellness, & become job-ready. During this process, they develop the skills needed to transition from their neighborhoods and schools to b

ecome valued employees in the workforce, and contributing citizens in their community. MISSION
By empowering youth to create small-scale social enterprises that are scalable and financially sustainable, WellVentions not only teaches job readiness and emotional wellness but helps shrink the child opportunity gap for youth who have difficulty succeeding in a typical classroom environment.

We’re getting everything ready for tomorrow at the Rochester Public Market! From preparing our food to putting the finishing touches on our products, our teen-run business has been working hard to bring it all together. ❤️

💵✨ Throwback to Our Money Activity!

During our money-counting activity, we practiced basic skills by using math to accurately count money and solve problems. Afterward, we talked about our answers, explained how we got them, listened to how other people solved the same problems, and compared their ideas to our own. This helped us practice using math, communicating our thinking, listening to others, and using these skills in real-life situations like handling money and running a business. 💵📊

🧘🏽‍♀️ Building More Than Balance! 🤝

During partner yoga, we practiced conflict resolution by learning how to work with another person when things didn’t go perfectly. We had to communicate by explaining what we needed, listen to understand our partner, and adjust when a pose wasn’t working. Instead of blaming each other or giving up, we worked together, considered both perspectives, and found a solution that worked for both partners. This helped us see what we already do well and what we can improve when handling real-life conflicts. 🌱

🌳🧠 Emotional Awareness!

During our lesson, we checked in with ourselves by rating how we felt out of 10, picking a word of the day to describe how we were feeling, and sharing our roses and thorns, which were the good and challenging parts of our day. During Tree Pose, we learned that one tree represents one person’s thoughts and feelings, but when we put all of our trees together, it represents how everyone thinks and feels differently and how we are stronger as a community. This helped us understand our own emotions while also being more aware of the emotions of the people around us. 🌳💚

This week, we're turning what we learned about workforce development skills and financial literacy at WellVentions into fun, interactive games and media that will help teach other teens these important life skills.

Our ProsperRochester students had an amazing time at **St. John Fisher University Business Camp**, where they explored entrepreneurship, built new skills, tackled real-world business challenges, and discovered what it takes to turn big ideas into reality.

They came home inspired, energized, and full of new ideas—and we couldn't be prouder! 💙

A huge thank you to everyone at St. John Fisher for creating such an engaging and unforgettable experience. You're helping shape the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders!

Every Tuesday & Thursday the team is busy prepping for market, cutting gouda cheese, weighing fresh fruit for smoothies, de-molding popsicles, slicing onions, and caramelizing them to perfection. They also practice important business skills by counting tips and tracking sales from food and puppet sales.It’s all about teamwork, responsibility, and creating something delicious for the community.
