The members of RIT’s Sigma Nu fraternity are organizing the first St. Baldrick’s Foundation fundraiser on campus to raise money to support childhood cancer research on March 17, 2012 from 10 a.m. at RIT’s Fireside Lounge, in

the back of Center of Campus Life. Make your St. Patrick’s Day a St. Baldrick’s Day! Here’s how it works:

• Become a shavee. Volunteer to have your head shaved clean in support of children undergoing cancer treatment. Those who raise $50 in pledges will receive a t-shirt.
• Make a donation. Sponsor a brave shavee, or donate to the cause in support or memory of a child affected by cancer. More than 4,200 St. Baldrick’s events have raised more than $118 million since 2000 to fund childhood cancer research. Approximately 160,000 children are diagnosed worldwide each year with the disease. Cancer is the leading cause of fatal illness for children in the U.S. Visit the StBaldricks.org for more information.
