Lucy is a 10 year old female Yorkshire terrier who has lost her people to a nursing home. She is active, loves to walk, loves her crate at night and loves to eat. She is updated on heartworm, flea, tick and vaccines. She is lovely and Yorkshire terriers are know to live into their 15 year. She is not a old spirit but a very upbeat, loving one! This little nugget is one of three babies now 10 months old, neutered, spayed left by a feral mom at a horse barn last year. They are sweet and need a home now because the owner is selling the horse farm and they deserve to be in a loving home. Of course this is going to be a hard post, and we want to acknowledge that Duffy's Friends pauses to show gratitude that we were the group to rescue this sweet kitty named Damon. We had her for one month and are absolutely devastated to tell you she went to the Rainbow Bridge as she was showing signs of Rabies. The test did come back positive and we know we gave her the best 30 days of love. We know the people reading this have already vaccinated your cat, but if your neighbor is not, offer to take them to the free rabies clinic for them. Run fast sweet Damon and we will see you again. Abby, thank you for helping this sweet, sweet girl.

Cleah is 7 years old and is homeless. Her owner died in December and she is a very nice, loving spayed female. Her vaccinations were brought up to date and she would love to be the only cat. Are you looking for a kitty friend? This little guy is 10 months old, neutered and has all his vaccinations. He is hoping you will see him and reach out to Duffy's Friends. His mom had kittens in Marcia's barn last August and then left. Marcia took all 4 of them to be spayed and neutered. She is offering them to a good home thru Duffy's Friends because she is selling her property. We placed one female and we have 3 left to place. A Torti female and two gray males. Sunny was adopted one week ago today by Carole and Mark of Irondequoit. He was a great match for this retired duo and Sunny was deserving of this great home. Mark is a big dog walker and stops to talk with neighbors along the way. Sunny is very social and loves people so much - he will be a good partner for this fun walk. Carole is the perfect pet mom and will see to his every want and need. Her dog prior was diabetic and she cared for him with love and compassion. Sunny now has a fenced yard to sun himself while his new owner does the landscaping. Sunny is enjoying this new life and we can't be happier for all of them. Thank you to Jackie for being his foster home and Mary D. for showing long time friend of Carole this picture. The cosmos has aligned and this dog was meant to be theirs! Happy Adoption Day.
