Evie is between 6-9 months old and is hot off the inner city streets of Rochester. She is one of the lucky one that got a spay ASAP and did not bring 5 kittens into this world. She is a kitten herself and deserves to live in a home and not be fed by a community feeder.

Update on Charlie, rescued mid April from a local shelter. We originally did not know his name but we tried all the common dog names and he looked at us when we mentioned "Charlie". Here he is two months into his make over, now neutered and a brand new haircut!. He is in Doggy Behavior Camp with Karlene Bonnes and is learning how to be a dog that is loved and not living tied in a back yard. He is 22 lbs and we hope to offer him for adoption in 5 or 6 months. He was never socialized, became fearful in his 12 month and ended up at the shelter. Who ever owned him, untied him and let him run lose until caught by AC. He was never going to make it to the adoption floor so here he is turning into a beautiful soul and waiting for his forever to be soon. We will keep you posted, but your monthly donations help dogs like Charlie, live to see another day. Thank you for your donations, it really helps take the hard cases.

Lucy is a 10 year old female Yorkshire terrier who has lost her people to a nursing home. She is active, loves to walk, loves her crate at night and loves to eat. She is updated on heartworm, flea, tick and vaccines. She is lovely and Yorkshire terriers are know to live into their 15 year. She is not a old spirit but a very upbeat, loving one! This little nugget is one of three babies now 10 months old, neutered, spayed left by a feral mom at a horse barn last year. They are sweet and need a home now because the owner is selling the horse farm and they deserve to be in a loving home. Of course this is going to be a hard post, and we want to acknowledge that Duffy's Friends pauses to show gratitude that we were the group to rescue this sweet kitty named Damon. We had her for one month and are absolutely devastated to tell you she went to the Rainbow Bridge as she was showing signs of Rabies. The test did come back positive and we know we gave her the best 30 days of love. We know the people reading this have already vaccinated your cat, but if your neighbor is not, offer to take them to the free rabies clinic for them. Run fast sweet Damon and we will see you again. Abby, thank you for helping this sweet, sweet girl.

Cleah is 7 years old and is homeless. Her owner died in December and she is a very nice, loving spayed female. Her vaccinations were brought up to date and she would love to be the only cat.
