The 6th annual Outrun The Sun, Race Against Melanoma- Rochester is set for Saturday, May 20th, 2017 at 5pm in beautiful Webster Park in Rochester NY. We'll have a 5k run, 1 mile walk, music, food, vendor booths and prizes. We'd love to see you that evening or if you'd like to volunteer, please drop us a message here or at [email protected]. Our mission is to raise awareness of and research d

ollars for melanoma. We do this through our Outrun the Sun, Race Against Melanoma event and various education outreach programs throughout the year.

A Representative of the Monroe County Parks Department and the Rochester Melanoma Action Group (RMAG) unveiled a new shade structure in Genesee Valley Park. The shade structure is at the Roundhouse Pavilion and provides a place for park visitors to find shelter from direct sunlight, a leading cause of melanoma. Join us TOMORROW at 2pm as we gather in Webster Park with Monroe County Executive, Cheryl Dinolfo, and parks department leaders to cut the ribbon on our gift to the families of Monroe County. This shade structure next to the Holt Road playground will allow families to have shade while they enjoy our beautiful parks.
