We’re excited to share news of our first-ever ICE CRUSHER fundraising event! Come hear some great music, dance, and knock back a few beers with us just days after the midterms at 6:30pm this November 5 at Three Heads Brewing!

Music will be provided by Son Henry and the Revelators as well as our own DJ Gaby Baby!

Proceeds go to supporting the Protecting Our Neighbors campaign, which works to safeguard all residents of Monroe County from ICE and aligned agencies regardless of immigration status.

Suggested admission starts at $25, though all are welcome — we appreciate any level of support.

From Rochester to Rosendale, utility bills are too damn high!

Energy is a basic human right, yet our society treats it as a commodity to profit off of. The results of that system in Rochester are dramatic and violent; 15,000 shutoffs in 2025 while over $100 million goes to shareholder profits.

This system is inhumane, and it needs to change.

Join NYS Assemblymember Sarahana Shrestha and NYC Councilmember Chi Ossé for a conversation on how we can build a statewide movement to take back our power from shareholders who own our energy sector!

We’re proud to be joined by this list of signatories including many area unions, local elected leaders, and Rochester Area Labor Federation — all sponsors of the Labor Film Series — in backing George Eastman Museum workers’ demand for a union vote free of undue interference by their employer.

The Museum’s decision to bring in costly third-party contractors to suppress the workers’ campaign is unconscionable, and all the more so in the midst of the Labor Film Series. We call upon the Museum to do better by these workers immediately and going forward, up to and after the workers’ vote this Friday. Together, we will be closely monitoring Museum administrators’ next steps.

Also: if you’re a sponsor of the Labor Film Series and would like to add your name to the list of signatories you see here, don’t hesitate to write and let us know.

We will always be proud to support any workers demanding a union vote. We are hopeful and optimistic about the vote this Friday and want to congratulate the workers and organizers both on what has already been a hugely inspiring campaign.

Anyways... join us in 3 weeks at Rochester Contemporary to find your organizational match doing work to support immigrants!
We'll screen the documentary "When They Come for Me: Hope & Fear for Immigrants in the Promised Land" (Worldwide Documentaries) at 6pm, followed by a panel presentation and time to connect directly with leaders to learn more, sign-up to volunteer, or otherwise support the work of orgs including The New York Immigration Coalition, Rochester DSA, The Alianza Agrícola, Rochester Rapid Response Network, and Enlace Services, Inc.

Protect Our Neighbors Press Conference, September 8, 2026
We were proud to gather yesterday to launch our campaign work to Protect Our Neighbors. We called on the county to engage with us to pass legislation that would legally end informal collusion with ICE, end elective agreements with federal immigration agencies, and ensure county funds aren't going to companies that profit from immigration detention infrastructure.
