Monroe County Executive Adam J. Bello and the Monroe County, NY Office of Mental Health stopped by the Dr. George C. Simmons Counseling Center to see the progress on our building expansion which will add a new mental health clinic. This project wouldn’t be possible without the support and funding from Monroe County, NY helping us build a new NYS licensed clinic for individuals to access the care they deserve right here in the heart of our community.

We were honored to welcome NYS Assembly Speaker Carl E. Heastie and Assemblyman Demond Meeks to Baden Street.

They toured our entire agency, including the Child Development Center, where the kids loved meeting Paisley, Speaker Heastie’s dog 🐾, and saw progress on our new Mental Health Clinic under construction.

We also shared and update on our future main campus facility, which will modernize and expand services. The $8.1M secured by the NYS Assembly last year was a key step toward making this vision a reality.

Thank you Speaker Heastie and Assemblyman Meeks for your leadership and commitment to families across Northeast Rochester. 💙💛

💙 124 Years of Impact. One Unforgettable Night. 💙

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Baden Street’s 124th Annual Meeting, Breaking Barriers: Equity. Access. Action. The community’s presence reminded us that advancing health equity in Rochester is a shared action. Dr. David R. Williams, the leading professor of Public Health at Harvard University, delivered a powerful call to action calling upon us to change the communication surrounding health equality. Reminding us that we are the front liners who can change the world. Thank you to Dr. LeKeyah N. Wilson for leading a powerful conversation, and we proudly honored Foodlink, Hon. Rick Dollinger, and Coach Lord Johnson for being the game changers shaping a stronger, more equitable Rochester.
