@ The corner of Bay & Goodman, the GNOC is here to serve, helping our community find HOPE and lasting TRANSFORMATION Many years ago this building was a key part of the neighborhood and was home to some thriving businesses and apartments. In more recent years the building had fallen into disrepair and still had some businesses but als
o was home to a lot of crime and problems. It was then purchased to house the GNOC and completely renovated with the help of many volunteers and several churches. After several years of work the building now has, Joy Family Medicine (a doctor’s office), Place of Hope (a pregnancy support service), James Place (an addictions counseling center), Cross Culture Youth Center (a safe place for youth to come together), The Learning Center (a computer based training area), The Hope Shop (a food pantry to help those in the neighborhood), Bundles of Joy (a clothing support place for families with very young children), an apartment for the building support staff and another apartment for emergency housing. The building no longer is a haven for trouble but rather a place that gives encouragement to the community and gives back to the neighborhood.
