We are proud to be part of an organization that doesn’t just celebrate Earth Dayβ€”but lives it every single day. 🌎

At Goodwill, we believe in the power of repurposing, recycling, and reducing waste to create a more sustainable future. Through our partnerships with textile recyclers and our commitment to keeping usable items out of landfills, we’re turning small actions into meaningful impact.

Every donation, every purchase, every effort mattersβ€”and together, we’re building something better for our communities and our planet. πŸ’š

We love the RMSC and were happy to experience the Astronaut exhibit before it leaves town in a few weeks! Many of our Goodwill Vision Enterprises’ children and families took advantage of some not-yet-open-to-the-public access to the RMSC on Sunday, April 12th. Seeing an astronaut’s sleeping quarters, the customized food they eat, the type of toilets they use, and experiencing g-force simulations, and stressful problem-solving protocol simulators gave us an appreciation for the challenges of space travel, the teamwork and communication, and physical conditioning needed to endure months of microgravity. The pictures and videos show some of the fun we had within the Astronaut exhibit and beyond!

Today we celebrate the birthday of Anne Sullivanβ€”teacher, trailblazer, and the β€œMiracle Worker” whose impact continues to shape the world.

Through her dedication, perseverance, and belief in possibility, Anne unlocked communication and independence for Helen Keller, forever changing perceptions of what individuals with vision and hearing loss can achieve.

What a night of laughter and discovery we shared on Tuesday, March 24th, 2026! With generous support from Strong Executive Board members, Bonnie Erickson and Wayde Harrison, Goodwill Vision Enterprises and The Strong Museum team welcomed families to an after-hours Blind & Low Vision Family Nightβ€”designed for easier navigation, fewer crowds, and maximum fun. Nearly 250 guests joined us, with families traveling from Buffalo, Syracuse, and Dansville to be part of the evening. We’re deeply grateful to Bonnie and Wayde, and to The Strong Museum, for making this cost-free night of play possible for our community. The photos below are of girls playing school with their grandparents in One History Place, a mother and son having fun just outside the Wegmans exhibit, a young boy delighted to race cars with friends, and a woman sitting majestically on a golden throne in the Reading Adventureland.

We had an amazing day wandering the Lamberton Conservatory, exploring beautiful seasonal displays and discovering unique plants like epiphytes, succulents, and euphorbia. Button quail and tortoises were a delight to watch, and the mild weather made the courtyard gardens and water features even more enjoyable. Don’t miss the spring tulip and daffodil displays and be sure to support the greenhouse’s preservation efforts! Special thanks to landscape architects like Frederick Olmsted for these incredible parks. Upcoming events include maple syrup making in February and an after-hours night at the Strong Museum in Marchβ€”register soon!
