The Follies specialize in vintage jazz dances including Lindy Hop, Charleston and Burlesque. The Flower City Follies is Rochester’s newest all-ladies jazz dance troupe. Members have all studied authentic jazz dances from the 1920s and 30s including Charleston, Blues, Cakewalk, Blackbottom, Burlesque and historic choreographies such as the Shim Sham and the Big Apple. Performances range from flappe

r-inspired Charleston acts and bluesy burlesque numbers to pieces inspired by the chorus girls of the silver screen.

Follies Focus: Summer Edition - STARTS MONDAY!
Itching to perform? Want to learn repertoire? Just want an excuse to dance? This series is for you! We are bringing all dancers up to speed on our classic routines, and getting in a workout besides. Be prepared to learn and sweat!

JULY: Mondays, 8:30-9:45pm
Dates: 7/8, 7/15, 7/22, 7/29
At: Weiders Hall, 389 Gregory St, Rochester. 3rd floor.
Cost: $40/ all 4 weeks, or $12/dropin.
