Today we highlight Paige, one of our dedicated immigration attorneys.
A client from Cuba had been detained and was deemed ineligible for relief. Paige persevered on his behalf and he was released as a legal permanent resident. She also secured a green card for him, ensuring his continued success on the immigration path.

Equally as exciting, Paige is 5 for 5 on habeas corpus wins. In the most recent case, the client was a single mother with a pending asylum application who had been detained without a valid warrant. Despite Paige establishing jurisdiction, the client was moved to two different states. Paige successfully argued for immediate release and the client was returned to NY. Reuniting the mother with her kids was a happy and emotional moment!

Congratulations to Attorney for the Child Supervising Attorney Ellen Van Cleave! She was recently recognized with the Sam Peter's Memorial Award which is awarded to an attorney who exhibits commitment to zealous advocacy, and conducts their work ethically, and with integrity and passion. Members of the Steuben County Bar Association vote on this and being selected by her peers makes it especially meaningful.

Ellen has been with the LASROC Bath office since 2019 and continues to be a valued member of our team!
