Rochester Bike Week As part of May being National Bike Month, Rochester Bike Week is a collaborative effort to unite the Stay tuned for updates about various events!

Bike Week is Rochester’s personal spin on National Bike month, bike to work week, and bike to school week running from May 10th to the 18th. Each ride will highlight a different aspect of the cycling community, while at the same time showcasing the amazing people, places, and things that make Rochester great. Saturday, May 18th 10am-3pm Free Bike Wash (713 Monroe Ave) Head over to the Flower City Arts Center for some food, music and fun. Clean all the winter grime off your bicycle - you'll be all shiny and sparkly as you head to the Lilac Festival, the Seersucker Social or whatever. Friday, May 17th National Bike to Work Day If you’ve never tried biking to work, this is the day! Rochesterians are very fortunate to have an average 4.1-mile commute to work, which is ~25 minutes at a casual pace on a bike. To thank people cycling to work on May 17th, the New York Bicycling Coalition and the Rochester Cycling Alliance will have a special tent with bagels and coffee beside the Union Street cycle track at East Broad Street. Swing by our tent between 6:30 and 9:30am, fuel up and talk cycling with our dedicated volunteers.

Thursday, May 16th 7pm Unity Ride (855 W. Main Street). This relaxed 7.5-mile ride through the 19th Ward leaves Bullshead Plaza every Thursday at 7pm. We ride for peace, community and racial reconciliation. 2019 is the weekly Unity Ride’s 5th year. Contact: Karen Rogers [email protected]

Tuesday May 14th 7pm RBK’s Taco Tuesday Ride (John’s Tex Mex 489 South Ave) Rochester Bike Kids (RBK) is a group of enthusiastic cyclists with weekly rides. Tuesday, May 14th 6-7pm Tuesday Guided Bike Tour (Lake Riley Parking lot at Cobbs Hill Park) Every summer, Rochester’s Recreation Department sponsors official guided bike tours of city neighborhoods on Tuesdays. On May 14th, Oscar’s ride will highlight the R-Center facilities located in the southeast quadrant of the City. Ride starts promptly at 6pm. All participants must wear a helmet.
