TITLE SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT —Spin-Rite Inc

We’re kicking off our sponsor highlights with Spin Rite, our Title Sponsor for the third consecutive year!

Spin Rite is a family-owned property maintenance company, owned and operated by a great Irondequoit family, with an impressive 70 years in business.

For seven decades, Spin Rite has built its reputation on providing quality work, reliability, and respect to every customer.

Local 4176 is extremely grateful for Spin Rite’s continued support of our Annual Charity Golf Tournament. Having a local Irondequoit family and business stand behind our first responder community year after year means a great deal to our membership and helps us continue giving back to the community we all call home.

This year's tournament carries even greater significance as it falls on the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

Along with supporting charitable organizations, a portion of this year's proceeds will benefit the Paul Tegtmeier Memorial, honoring the memory of those who gave their lives on 9/11.

Local 4176 is fortunate to have a close relationship with the members of FDNY Engine 46 / Ladder 27 — “The Cross Bronx Express.”

The Paul Tegtmeier Memorial was recommended to us by one of their own, making the opportunity to support it especially meaningful to our membership.

25 years later, we remember the fallen, honor their sacrifice, and continue to support the brotherhood they left behind.

Whether you join us with a foursome or support the tournament through a sponsorship, we would be honored to have you be part of this year's event.

💚Mayday Alert for the Maladeew family💚

New York’s Brett Malafeew dedicated 22 years of service to the Ridge Road Fire District and was a respected leader within IAFF Local 3794 for much of his career. Before retiring in 2022, he served as Union President and earned the trust of fellow firefighters through his honesty, reliability, and commitment to the profession. During his career, Brett responded to deployments in Texas following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, assisted with flooding in the City of Binghamton, and supported recovery efforts on Long Island after Hurricane Sandy. He was a familiar presence in the firehouse, regularly covering open shifts and offering guidance to firefighters and officers who sought his advice. Brett retired at the age of 44 with the hope of spending more time with his family after years of dedicated service.

In October 2025, after experiencing ongoing medical concerns, Brett was diagnosed with bladder and prostate cancer that is presumed to be related to his career in the fire service. He underwent a lengthy surgery at the Cleveland Clinic to remove the cancer, but in May 2026 he learned that it had spread to his lymph nodes. Brett continues to face the challenges of job related cancer with determination and resilience. While undergoing treatment, he has become a strong advocate for regular cancer screenings and proper use of personal protective equipment to help protect both active and retired firefighters. At 48 years old, Brett remains committed to supporting the fire service community while continuing his own fight against cancer; let’s show Brett we support him just the same.

In the early morning hours, members of the Irondequoit Professional Firefighters Local 4176 responded with Engine 155, Engine 172, and Truck 171 to a structure fire at Baumans Farm Market.

For decades, Baumans has been a longstanding institution on the east side of Monroe County and a valued part of the community. The impact of today's fire extends well beyond the property itself and is felt by many throughout the region.

On behalf of the membership of Local 4176, we extend our sincere thoughts and support to the Bauman family, their employees, and all those affected by this devastating loss
