The title of Dr. Ledet’s presentation is ‘Breaking Barriers,’ where he will talk about his journey, receiving his MD, PhD, and MBA, and what he does today. ADSE was one of the first affinity groups at SMD that was a safe inclusive space for people like me where we can be our own quirky selves and continue to make science and academia a more positive inclusive space where we all can grow together. ADSE gave me the community that I very much needed here at URMC.

The Alliance for Diversity in Science and Engineering is currently accepting nominations for officer positions on the Executive Board. Available positions include co-presidents (SMD and AS&E), secretary, treasurer, communications manager, public relations chair, professional development chair, outreach chair, and departmental representatives (position roles available in nominations poll). Voting for these positions will take place during our November Executive Board meeting on Monday, November 14, 2022 from 6-7 in the Northeastern Conference Room (Med Campus 1-9525/1-9535), refreshments will be provided.
