What a fantastic weekend at the first ever Great Scouter Retreat at Camp Cutler! Thank you to everyone who came out and got to be a part of such a wonderful weekend of friends, fellowship and fun! We ran twelve programs throughout the weekend: archery, bb, fishing, boating, hikes, rockets, shotgun, rifle, leather-working, knots, Scouts Own Service, astronomy, and had an amazing campfire with songs and skits that had us falling over laughing! A huge thank you to all of the volunteers who came out and helped run programs and ranges!! And a double huge thank you to those on the planning committee who met each month and helped pull it together!!

Tonight the District held our end of year picnic at Thornell Farm Park. Great food and conversation with friends tonight.

We also presented some awards.

The District Award of Merit (DAM) is this highest award a District may present a volunteer. The award is given to registered adult volunteers who have provided outstanding service and dedication to the Scouting program at the District level.

Tonight, Mrs. Colleen Trevisani received the Erie Trails District Award of Merit. In addition to serving as the Scoutmaster of Troop 750, Colleen assumed the duties of ET District Roundtable Commissioner. Colleen is part of the Council Team for Religious Emblems, and has been leading classes the last two years for Scouts working on their emblems. Colleen is always willing to step up and help wherever she’s needed.

Mrs. Christy Dryden, another outstanding Scouter was awarded the District Award of Merit for her outstanding service to her Troop, Pack, and Crew. Christy also serves as the District Advancement Chair.

Congratulations to you both and thank you to everyone for an amazing year of Scouting and service to others.

Last nights Roundtable modeled joining events for Cubs, Troops, and Crews. We debriefed and discussed what was seen and experienced. What’s needed for a successful event(s). How to make the most of your event and keep the momentum rolling forward. Recruiting isn’t just a Fall or Spring event.
