🐾 DO YOU RECOGNIZE ME?
Please come to Rochester Animal services as soon as possible to confirm ownership and reclaim them.
To reclaim your pet, bring:
° A photo ID
° A leash & collar for dogs OR a carrier for cats/small pets.
° Proof of ownership, such as:
• Vet/vaccine records
• Dog License
• Photos of your pet

📌 Important Hold Information:
° Pets with microchips or other ID tags/forms of identification: We will attempt to contact owners, please make sure your contact information is up to date. Owners will have 10 days to reclaim them.
° Pets without identification are held for a minimum of 3 days before becoming eligible for adoption.

📞 Call 585-428-7274 if you believe we may have your pet. Or come in during business hours for our team to assist you.

Cali wants a home, a best friend, a heated blanket, and full authority over your kitchen operations.

🐾💙Meet Cali, our Foster Pet of the Week!💙🐾

This 3-year-old sweetheart is equal parts cuddle bug, household supervisor, and squirrel investigator. Her ideal day includes sleeping as close to her favorite human as physically possible, monitoring meal prep from a safe distance (or not-so-safe distance), and keeping a watchful eye on suspicious backyard squirrel activity.

Cali is house-trained, crate-trained, smart, affectionate, and incredibly loyal. Once she trusts you, she'll be your shadow through every walk, couch nap, and lazy Sunday afternoon.

She's also a big believer in life's simple pleasures:
☀️ Sunbeams
🔥 Warm blankets
🛋️ Cozy couches
💙 Her favorite people

Cali can be a little cautious when meeting new people, but she's done wonderfully with foster dogs in her home and continues to blossom with patience, consistency, and reassurance. The more she learns she's safe, the more her sweet personality shines.

What Cali is really looking for is someone willing to give her the same thing she's ready to give them: trust.

In return, you'll get a loyal companion, a professional cuddle consultant, and one very good girl who's ready for her forever family.

At a little over 2 years old, Chase Clay is the perfect mix of adventure buddy and cuddle companion. This energetic boy is always ready for fun and loves to play, explore, and make the most of every day! 🤗

Chase Clay is a social butterfly 🦋 who loves meeting new friends and winning hearts wherever he goes. He's a great listener, takes treats politely, and already knows how to sit on command. Plus, he's wonderful on a leash, making walks together a breeze.

While he loves excitement and adventure, Chase Clay also has a sweet, gentle side. He enjoys soaking up affection, giving plenty of sweet kisses 😘, and spending quality time with his favorite people. Whether you're looking for a hiking partner, a walking buddy, or a best friend to snuggle with after a long day, Chase Clay is ready to fill that role.

Come meet some of our adorable foster pups on Sunday from 8 a.m.–12 noon at the East Rochester Farmers Market!

✨ Meet the pups:

🌿 Gabriel - A young adventurer with a passion for sticks, garden exploring, chew toys, and staying close to his people. This sweet boy is curious, cuddly, and ready to keep learning with his future family.

⚽ Puca - The perfect combination of snuggle bug and backyard goofball. She loves soccer, car rides, cuddles, and being right by your side wherever the day takes you.

👀 Sammi - A gentle sweetheart with the softest puppy eyes and an even softer heart. She loves leisurely walks, tasty treats, and spending time with both people and other dogs.

What an incredible day for Rochester Animal Services!

Thanks to our amazing community, 13 dogs have already found loving homes through today’s Free Dog Friday event, including Lulu, Viejo & Macho, Diamond, Naruto, and many more. Every adoption means one more animal sleeping in a home tonight instead of a kennel, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

As we prepare for upcoming shelter improvements, these adoptions are helping us create much-needed space while ensuring our animals receive the comfort, stability, and love they deserve. Every family who opened their heart and home today has made a direct impact - not only for the dog they adopted, but also for the animals who will need our care in the weeks and months ahead.

There’s still time!

⏰ We have 30 minutes left before Free Dog Friday ends.

If you’ve been thinking about adopting, now is the time to come meet your new best friend.

And yes, foster dogs included!

Many of our dogs are currently living in foster homes, and applications submitted by the end of today, Friday, June 12, can still qualify for FREE adoption if approved.

For only three more hours, Puca's adoption fee is completely waived for approved adopters today!

As Rochester Animal Services prepares for upcoming shelter renovations, we're working hard to help more dogs find loving homes before construction begins. That means more opportunities for amazing dogs like Puca to find the families they've been waiting for.

At 4 years old, Puca is the perfect combination of affectionate cuddle buddy and playful best friend. She loves people of all ages, gets along well with other dogs, and is happiest when she's spending time with her favorite humans. Whether she's curled up next to you on the couch, chasing a soccer ball around the yard, or riding along on your next adventure, Puca is all in.

This sweet girl is house-trained, crate-trained, knows basic commands, travels well in the car, and isn't fazed by thunderstorms. She loves learning new things, especially when treats are involved, and her goofy personality shines through whenever she's playing. Puca does have a tendency to chase smaller animals, so a cat-free home would be the best fit for her.

Most of all, Puca is looking for a family to love with her whole heart—and she has plenty of love to give.

At just 10 months old, Sprocket is all about fresh starts, new adventures, and making friends wherever he goes. This young guy has enjoyed spending time with other dogs in Play Yard and is eager to find a family who can help him continue learning, growing, and exploring the world.
