What an incredible Opening Day for the 2026 ORYB season! ⚾️

A huge thank you to Jim Perry for taking the time to put together this amazing Opening Day video for our league. We truly appreciate the time, effort, and dedication that went into capturing such a special day for our players, families, and community.

Thank you as well to all of the ORYB families who came out to support the players and help make the day such a success. Seeing the Tri-Town community come together is what makes ORYB so special.

We also want to thank the Marion Police, Mattapoisett Police Department, Rochester Police Department, and Rochester Fire Department for being part of Opening Day and helping represent all three towns in our community. We are thankful for all that you do to keep our towns safe.

2026 is off to an incredible start and we’re looking forward to a great season ahead!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the incredible ORYB moms! ❤️⚾️

Today we celebrate the moms who do it all, the team moms, the snack shack volunteers, the carpool coordinators, the biggest fans in the stands, and the moms who also step onto the field as coaches helping lead and develop our players every single day.

From early morning practices and late-night uniform washes to keeping dugouts organized and cheering on every big moment, your dedication is a huge part of what makes ORYB such a special community.

Thank you for the time, energy, support, and love you pour into this league and into your ballplayers all season long. ORYB wouldn’t be the same without you.

We appreciate all of our amazing ORYB moms and hope you have a fantastic Mother’s Day! 💐⚾️

We want to give a huge thank you to the team at New Bedford Voke for their incredible response and professionalism.

Yesterday we ran into some plumbing issues with the bathroom sink, along with a leaking drain in the concession stand. With very short notice, they showed up this afternoon with students from their “After Dark” program and got right to work.

Not only did they fix the hot water issue, but they also fixed the leaking drains on the three-bay sink and had everything completed before 5:30.

We truly appreciate their quick response, professionalism, and willingness to help our league on such short notice. Thank you for supporting Old Rochester Youth Baseball and for giving your students such a great hands-on learning experience!

Pretty cool moment at the field today.

Cam Eitas, who graduated out of ORYB back in 2024, was behind the plate umpiring a Minor League game, and a few of our Blue Jays players made sure to grab a picture with him.

This is what it’s all about. Kids growing up in the league, coming back, and giving back to the next group coming through. Full circle.

Appreciate you being out there today, Cam 👏⚾️

Big shoutout to Rochester Girl Scout Troop 74527 for spending part of their day at Gifford Park helping with an Earth Day cleanup 🌎

Really great to see that kind of effort and pride in the community. The time and hard work you put in absolutely makes a difference, and it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Thank you for stepping up and helping keep our fields and town looking great 👏

🔥 PING PONG BALL DROP FUNDRAISER – OPENING DAY! 🔥

We’re kicking off Opening Day with something new this year and it should be a great one.

Join us at Gifford Field on May 2nd right after the parade for our Ping Pong Ball Drop Fundraiser supporting the ORYB 12U All-Star Team on their Road to Cooperstown.

Here’s how it works:
• Purchase a numbered ping pong ball
• Balls will be dropped from a fire truck ladder
• The ball closest to the target wins

🏆 Prizes:
• 1st Place: Boston Red Sox Tickets
• 2nd Place: Worcester Red Sox Tickets

💰 Balls are on sale now:
• 1 for $5
• 5 for $20

It’s a simple way to support the kids and adds something fun for everyone on Opening Day.

If you’re planning to be there for the parade and games make sure to stick around, this will be worth watching.

Big thank you to the Rochester Fire Department for stepping up and running CPR & AED training for our volunteer coaches.

This is a huge part of what we’re building at Old Rochester Youth Baseball, making sure every player, family, and spectator is supported and safe no matter what field they’re at.

Our coaches showed up, put in the time, and are now better prepared for the moments that matter most. Hopefully we never need it… but if we do, we’re ready.

Appreciate the RFD team for their time, energy, and commitment to our community. 👏⚾️🚑
