Thank you Artistry By Betsy Betsy Ogles for giving our group a wonderful presentation of your watercolor "stained glass" technique, for our March meeting! It was fun, and informative.

Betsy provided printed instructions, a reference photo, and a piece of watercolor paper with the design already outlined for each of us. She demonstrated for us how to go about painting in each section, and then we worked on our own pieces.
Thank you for an enjoyable afternoon!

Thank you so much to Becky Maynard who gave us a fabulous alcohol ink demo yesterday afternoon! She showed us some of her finished artwork, and the many techniques she uses to create them.
She started off by dripping the inks into a ceramic tile, and spritzing with alcohol which caused the colors to bloom and run together in unexpected ways, so fun to watch!

She also showed how to create an artwork on yupo paper, and ways to use masking fluid to mask off areas, in order to paint a background first. She also uses markers to make finishing touches.
After the demo, she invited us to try it ourselves! We all enjoyed experimenting with all the different colors and techniques.
