The words we choose matter. Stigma is the negative judgment or shame when it comes to substance use and gambling problems. The language we use can either hurt or help someone who is struggling. It is time to break the stigma by using respectful words. Let’s choose words that uplift, not label. Together, we can educate others and promote respect.

SAISD and the RIT/NTID Cross-Registered Student Advisory Board (XSAB) hosted a workshop on Opioid Overdose Prevention last night! 40 folks were in attendance and learned the basics of administering Narcan (naloxone). Life-saving skills that matter!
