Fantastic news!! Congratulations Peter Schoellkopf!

Say hi to Peter! Bass Peter Schoellkopff will be joining us on tour throughout the 26/27 season as a guest artist. Praised for his “projecting bass voice” and “commanding stage presence” (Boston Music Intelligencer), Peter excels in concert work, opera, and early music. He has performed with Pegasus Early Music, Harmonia Stellarum and Finger Lakes Opera. A lifelong singer, Peter considers his time with the American Boychoir foundational to his identity as a musician. He is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music, and currently resides in Rochester, NY. When not singing, he enjoys trying out new cooking recipes, going to the gym, and hanging out with his cat Luna. Peter is thrilled to be joining Chanticleer this season!

“Grammy-nominated artists Renée Fleming and Myra Huang worked beautifully together to enchant the stage with their harmony, flow, and fierce executions of Voice of Nature: The Anthropocene […]Together, the music and film intersect nature, artistry, anthropology, humanity, and more, asking how humans understand relationships between one another and the world, and creating space for nature to be the thing that unifies us all. Fleming mentions this exact antidote in “All is Full of Love” by Björk where she sings, “Twist your head, it’s all around you. All is love, you just ain’t receiving.” Fleming emphasizes that artistry helps us to understand this more.” -Aneesah Abdur-Razzaq, CVNC.
