To Our Members, Staff, Instructors, and Community of the YMCA of Strafford County:
We want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for your commitment and membership. You are a valued part of our YMCA family and the Strafford County community. Your participation in our programs, classes, and events has made a profound impact on our organization, and we are incredibly thankful for the memories we’ve created together.
“The past 12 years I have spent at this branch has been an amazing and joyful experience. I’ve met so many incredible people and have felt blessed that you let us into your life—however big or small that was. I’ve been lucky to feel that my job here has never felt like a job and I have loved every moment. Our day-to-day will not be the same without seeing you, joking with you, catching up with life, hearing about your successes, or sharing in your sadness. I have enjoyed being a part of your health journeys, whether you were just starting out or getting back into it, healing from injuries or illnesses, or the excitement you have from accomplishing something you didn’t think you could do. I’ve been happy to have been able to watch your circles grow and your genuine concern for people you have grown to care about. All of this makes my heart full. Thank you for your time and your friendship and I will see you around.” – Jen McGeehan, Director of Operations
“It has been an honor to serve as the Advisory Board Chair for the YMCA of Strafford County for the last two years. The Y has been so much more than a gym or child care center, it has been a close-knit community comprised of incredible staff, volunteers, and members. While the lights on the physical space will be going out, the spirit and camaraderie will live on within each of us as we transition into new roles and locations. I look forward to continuing to volunteer with the Y and exploring the ways that we can continue to serve the families and residents of Strafford County.” – Jodi Langellotti, Advisory Board Chair
Thank you for being part of our Y community over the last 14 years. We are so proud of the impact that we’ve made and the relationships that we’ve built here in Greater Rochester. We are confident that this change will enable us to grow our youth services to better serve a larger population of families in the Tri-City Region of Dover, Rochester, and Somersworth.
