There is still time to register online at cvrunners.org for the Capital City Stampede 10k road race and 5k power walk on Saturday, June 6, in Montpelier. To date, 91 athletes have signed up - more than 50% are age 50+ and eligible for VSGA medals and to qualify for the 2027 National Senior Games in Tulsa Oklahoma. Enjoy the camaraderie and fun of running or power walking with fellow VSGA and New England 65 Plus athletes and friends!

What a great day we had in Springfield today!

Between the Swimming Meet hosted by The Edgar May Health and Recreation Center and the Fun Run for All Ages, athletes, volunteers and spectators had a great day - and the weather was absolutely stunning!

Congrats to the VSGA team and athletes for an inspiring powerlifting state championship event at the Lift VT gym. Check out the WCAX news video!

A powerlifting competition in Williston brought dozens of participants older than 40 to the gym, with senior powerlifters hoping to inspire generational strength.

We're grateful for our partnership with Central Vermont Runners, making it possible to qualify runners who finish the Capital City Stampede and/or the Northfield 5k to compete in the National Senior Games!

Sadly, the VSGA Women's basketball tournament scheduled for Sunday, March 29, in Rutland, has been cancelled. We had hoped for more teams representing a diversity of age groups, but did not reach critical mass. The VSGA staff and volunteers offer our deep regrets and apologies to the players. This is our first cancelled event in several years.
