The NYGA is promoting BioBlitzes this spring. We've had some nice events so far. There will be one at the Tifft Nature Center near Buffalo (6/15) and at the Renaissance Charter School in Jackson Heights (6/22). The goal is to identify as many plants, animals, and microorganisms as possible. In this photo, taken at the Rogers Center in Sherburne, NY, the group is looking at insects captured in the Chenango River.
