Rochester District Umpires Association The Rochester District Umpires Association (RDUA) provides umpire services to baseball programs in Monroe County, NY. No experience? No problem!

The Rochester District Umpires Association provides umpires for Varsity, JV, and Modified high school baseball games around Section V (Rochester, NY). Our Association is compromised of about 80 members and always seeking men/women to join our group and officiate the many programs we serve. We provide training clinics at no additional cost through February to March ran by umpires who have pro and college experience. Have a passion for baseball? Miss being part of the game? Yell at the TV when you think the umpires made a bad call against your team? Enjoy being on the diamond being part of a team? First year umpires are assigned JV and Modified games and able in the future to be promoted to Varsity status. We highly encourage those with an interest in umpiring to join our association. For more info on joining the RDUA visit our website at http://www.rdua.org or e-mail: [email protected]

St. Peter and Satan were having one of their regular, highly competitive cosmic debates, which had somehow devolved into a fierce, passionate argument about baseball. Satan, never one to back down from a challenge, slammed his hand on the celestial table and proposed a high-stakes exhibition game to be played on neutral grounds between a select team from the heavenly host and his own hand-picked boys from down below.St. Peter adjusted his halo, leaned back in his cloud, and chuckled with absolute, divine confidence. “Very well,” the gatekeeper of Heaven said, a smug, self-satisfied smile playing on his lips. “But you realize, I hope, that we’ve got all the good players. We’ve got the archangels with perfect pitching arms, the saints with golden bats, and the absolute best coaches in the universe. It won’t even be a contest.”

Satan didn’t flinch. He didn’t look worried in the slightest. In fact, he just casually adjusted his tie, returned the smile with a wicked, knowing grin, and replied completely unperturbed:

“I know, and that’s all right. We’ve got all the umpires!
