Chili Fire JRs/RAMs program The JRs/RAMS Program is a youth program (ages 13-18) that allows youth the opportunity to volunteer and learn about the fire service.

The Chili Fire Department Explorer program is a youth program (ages 14-18) that allows high-school aged teens the opportunity to volunteer and learn about the fire service. Post 546 has been an important part of Chili Fire Department's impact on the community for over 40 years.

Yesterday our JRs/RAMS took on donning specialized water suits and practiced rescue's utilizing the Speak, Reach, Throw, Go.
Speak: can you yell for the victim to come to you
Reach: can you reach out to the victim using poles or other extensions Throw: can you throw a rope or ring to pull them in. Go: get in the water and retrieve the victim.

Today we did training a little different. In honor of Easter tomorrow we had an Easter egg hunt...but search style in our training maze and training tower with full gear on! The day ended with a free for all to find the coveted DISCO egg! Fun was had by all! Happy Easter!
