Edoh Paul and Nicole Assignon, Togo

“Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.” Psalm 63:3-4
The family continues going through a hard time physically. Our daughter, Deborah, is going to the therapist twice a week for her re-education (rehab) but the pain still returns from time to time. A few weeks ago, she started using protection which was made for her leg. Nicole lost one of her younger sisters and she has already been buried. Nicole has been having eye pain for a few days now. She has been to the doctor but none of the medicine is helping so far. And the worst part of it is that she seems to be allergic to one of the medicines and causes itching. She went to another eye doctor today. I am very thankful to the Lord for everything and because I am doing well myself.
My elder brother is still going for the re-education (rehab) of his left hand and leg. But his health is good. Please, continue praying for his recovery.
Last month, the Bilingual Baptist Bible School celebrated their 100 days since the beginning of the 2025-26 year. The blessing part of the school is the opportunity we have to share the Gospel message with the children two times a week.
We had a good conference for the church on April 4th and 5th in the North. Some of the women invited unbelieving friends. There were around 400 women and all of them had a good round trip.
We just finished the regional youth conference for the North churches which was April 9th-11th. It went well like the women’s conference did. Deborah and Nicole, though they have health issues, helped a lot in this conference. About 100 girls slept in our house. We praise the Lord for a few who have given their life to Christ. I spoke to some of them and listened to their questions and their restlessness.
I left Kara as soon as we finished the conference and I am currently in Lome in the South of the country for a few weeks regarding the ministry.
The Ministry in General
From Pastor Senghor of Bible Baptist Church of Sokode, Lom-Nava:
Easter Sunday this year was extraordinary. We had a lot of visitors invited by some of the members and three people accepted Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.
There was a woman in the church who had to have surgery but through prayer, she gave birth easily.
One of the pastors, Pastor Bruce of Bible Baptist Church of Kagome-Lome, is seriously suffering from diabetes and he is in the clinic. I visited him at the clinic yesterday. Please, pray for his healing.
The Lord continues blessing temple Shalom, too, in many areas. We have a new baptismal class going on now. We are planning to have a baptismal ceremony on May 24th, 2026 if the Lord permits.
Prayer Requests:
1. Thankful to the Lord for the success of the women’s and the youth conferences.
2. For spiritual growth of the new babies in Christ and for the salvation of more souls
3. For the good health of the pastors’ families
4. The need for financial provision for the construction of two church buildings
5. Pastor Senghor needs a motorcycle as a means of transportation
6. For complete healing for Deborah and Nicole

We are sincerely thankful for your love, your concern, your prayers, and your financial support for the ministry here in Togo, West Africa.

Paul and Leah Manyara, Kenya

“Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.” Psalm 40:5
The Lord has continued to be faithful in our lives and in the ministries.
In December, Leah and some members from our church visited a mission area where a mission team from our church had evangelized. The visit was very successful. The people were very grateful to receive Bibles in their own Masai language or in Swahili which is our national language. Please pray that the Lord will use His Word to help the people grow in their faith. During Easter, one of the choirs in our church visited the same place to take chairs to one of the churches and do more evangelism. Also, pray for a little Muslim girl who attends Sunday school at one of the churches that she will come to know the Lord as her Savior. We are sending more Bibles.
We have also shared Bibles with people in our community. One of them is Winnie who has used her Bible for many years and now it is falling apart. She was very happy to get a new one. We thank the Lord for providing the funds to buy the Bibles. There are still more people needing them.
The men’s prayer breakfast ministry, the feeding programs, the project of providing water by digging wells, and other ministries are going well. Lord willing, we plan to have the annual pastors’ wives’ retreat on April 10th and 11th. Please pray that many will attend and that it will be encouraging and helpful.
FAMILY: We lost a niece (Paul’s sister’s daughter) who used to live with her mother in Pennsylvania. Paul attended the funeral. Please pray for the three children and sister Ruth as she takes care of them.
Leah had surgery to remove a growth in her left eye. She is doing well and was on medication until April 9th when she was to return to the hospital for review. God has been good.
Our daughter, Miriam, celebrated her 40th birthday on March 13th. We thank the Lord for His faithfulness in her life. Ruth and Stephen and our grandchildren, Aziza and Zephaniah, are doing well. Paul Jr. is also doing well. We thank the Lord for His protection for them Stateside and for us here.
Prayer Requests:
1. For a mission team from Illinois that will visit us June 5th-12th, Lord willing
2. For the family of one of our pastors who went home to be with the Lord
3. For people who were affected by flooding in different parts of Kenya and especially for the families who lost their loved ones.
We wish to thank you all for your prayers and financial support. You are very much part of what God is doing here.

In His Love,
Paul and Leah

Gary and Nancy Newhart

Get wisdom, get understanding:
Forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee:
Love her, and she shall keep thee.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore
get wisdom:
And with all thy getting get understanding.
Proverbs 4:5-7
Dear Prayer Partners and/or Financial Supporters:

A Life Thought: When we were young, time seemed to go by so slowly. It seemed like the next day would never come. However, it did come and as time went along, they came faster and faster. It wasn’t long before you realized there are not many days left here on planet Earth and then you begin to think about heaven and realize that as King Solomon put it, all is vanity. He concludes by saying, Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

Newharts’ Insights: There is never a dull moment in our lives. Nancy is making progress from the hip replacements ordeal in March and April and pacemaker in August. There have been many challenges but improvements almost every day. One of the many blessings is that the two of us are growing together more than ever and our desire is to have more of these precious moments. I still have my physical challenges, but our Lord brings comfort that enables us to keep serving Him and His choice servants around the world. I trust you will continue to uphold us before our Lord until He comes or until we depart this life to be with Him.
IGM News: 2025 was one of the most challenging years. We praise the Lord our building was sided with vinyl siding paid for by a precious donor. We brought two new ladies on staff to enable the Mission to be more efficient in serving our donors, missionary family, and orphans: Linda to care for more of the details needing attention and Tes to care for our accounting. Both have manifested their value time and time again. Our Tes gave birth to a precious baby girl (her 1st). She was on maternity leave for twelve weeks which demanded a temporary replacement and a learning process. However, these events have manifested many areas for improvement. The Mission Council has offered a brother to become the National Field Representative—USA and another brother is strongly considering our Executive Director position. If these two men accept becoming a part of IGM, it will bring many improvements to our constituents.
Please keep praying for IGM as the Council seeks our Lord’s direction! Thank you for your faithful prayer and/or support.
Sincerely, Your Servants for His Glory!
Gary and Nancy Newhart (OVER)

Leroy Thompson, Caribbean and the Underserved

We are living in interesting times. Global conflicts, natural disasters, and rapid technological development now form the backdrop against which we labor to bring the Gospel to a lost and increasingly hardened world.

Regardless of the difficulty of our task, local churches and their partners must continue working together in the missionary enterprise. We must fulfill Jesus’ mandate to his followers. Our mandate to “Go

… and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost,” calls for our continued cooperation with believers of like faith and practice worldwide. Praise the Lord, we are getting more done together than we could by ourselves. Jesus is coming soon, and we need to support each other in completing the work He has left us to do. There is indeed a “Heaven to gain and a Hell to shun.” Luke 24:47 reminds us, “And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”

MISSIONS TRIPS & SALVATION

Over the past few months, I made several trips to Jamaica to assist with hurricane relief and rebuilding efforts. While visiting various locations, I often take the opportunity to share the gospel through preaching or personal conversations with those who were receptive. Our team members distribute Gospel tracts and witness to many people they meet and work alongside.

We rejoice that on one occasion, when I preached in Montego Bay, St. James, three individuals responded to the gospel and came forward for salvation. In another affected area in Darliston, Westmoreland, I shared the gospel with approximately

300 people before we distributed relief supplies. Although no immediate decisions were recorded, we remain encouraged by the opportunity to minister. We are grateful to have shown the love of Christ and

shared the gospel with individuals already reflecting on the brevity of life and the temporary nature of material things.

We are confident that the seed of the gospel has been sown; hence, we leave the results to the Lord and local churches on the ground. The Apostle Paul said, “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.” I Corinthians 3:6.

BUILDING & MINISTRY TEAMS

The building teams we partner with are engaged in rebuilding churches and homes. Plans are also underway to assist with the restoration of the Fairview Baptist Bible College.

It is of note that multiple churches and homes sustained significant roof damage, while some buildings were completely demolished. Hence, we praise the Lord and extend our sincere gratitude to you, our partnering churches, and faithful donors, for giving through IGM World Relief Jamaica. All relief supplies and funds received have been carefully distributed and are now contributing to the rebuilding and restoration effort. Thank you for your partnership and investment in these ministries.

In the coming months, my home church in Florida will send a construction team to Jamaica. Two additional building teams from New York and Canada plan to be on the ground to help in the restoration. We ask that you pray for us as we work toward our objectives of partnering with local congregations in their rebuilding efforts and witnessing outreach.

Additionally, in July, a ministry team from the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Pennsylvania will be traveling to the island of Grenada. This team will partner with the Happy Hill Independent Baptist Church for Vacation Bible School and three nights of

open-air meetings. We covet your prayers for souls to be saved and fruit that will remain for eternity.

PARTNERSHIP & SUPPLY CHAIN

When I am not on mission trips, I am ministering in U.S. churches, including my home church in Florida. I also engage with our national pastors in the field, book meetings for speaking engagements, assist with visitation and outreach, attend workshops, and speak at missions’ conferences and special services. All these activities are geared toward evangelism and missions.

I thank the Lord for opportunities to serve purposefully in worldwide missions. Together, our weekly participation helps to maintain the viability of the Gospel Supply Chain. I Corinthians 3:9 declares, “We are labourers together with God…”

FALL TOUR & FAMILY MATTERS

In April and May, Pastor VJ from India will visit with His family for our IGM Spring tour. It is my family’s delight to house them and take them to partnering churches throughout Florida. Please pray for their safety as they will spend many hours traveling on our roads before and after their time with us.

My wife and I are desirous of your continued prayers. On February 10th, while returning from the Caribbean, I received a call that my wife, Flo, had been hospitalized. For this reason, we celebrated our thirty-first wedding anniversary the following day, at Tampa General Hospital. Over a month earlier, in December 2025, we made an unscheduled trip to Jamaica so she could see a medical specialist. We ask for your prayers as she awaits a doctor’s appointment in April and further medical consultation in Jamaica in June.

Our children continue to be a source of joy to us. Although they reside in Jamaica, we are grateful for the technology that allows us to stay in touch with

them every day. We are also especially excited that our eldest daughter, Kehlesia, and her husband, Raniel, plan to visit us in early summer.

Please pray for our son, Kehvoi, and his sister, Kehroni, in Kingston, Jamaica. Kehvoi will soon sit for his third year of college exams. Our second daughter, Kehroni, is seeking the Lord’s direction as she transitions into a new job.

EASTER BLESSINGS & THANK YOU

As you reflect and worship this Easter, let us rejoice, not only in our salvation but because God is using us as partners in His missionary enterprise. Together, we constitute the Gospel Supply Chain, “reaching the world for Christ.”

On behalf of my family and the International Gospel Missions, we wish you a blessed Easter. May your heart be filled with the joy and hope that comes from knowing that our Savior, Jesus, rose from the dead.

Yours in His Service,

Rev. Leroy E. Thompson

Jim and Denise Arnold, Ivory Coast
Dear Praying Partners,
We want to greet you all in the precious Name of our Lord and Savior. It is with much joy that we update each of you about all that God is doing through our ministries in Cote D’Ivoire.
At the moment, we are working among the Mouna people through Pastor Arsene’s ministry. In Cote D’Ivoire, we still have about twenty ethnic groups that have not yet been reached by the Gospel. Faithful to our commitment to obey the commandment of making disciples of all nations, we have chosen to tackle two unreached people groups: the Wouan and the Mouna. The Wouan and the Mouna live in central Ivory Coast. They are Muslim and animist. We wish to proclaim the Gospel and make disciples among the students of these two groups, praying that ministry will branch out through these young people. Our strategy is simple: if we can win these students to Christ, then they give us an opening into their homes and villages.
Through Pastor Arsene, we conducted an evangelistic campaign among the Mouna students on Wednesday, February 4th. Through that campaign, we had over 150 students accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. This has been a tremendous opening for us into this people group. God is so good!!!
Due to the great response, we are planning a second evangelistic campaign in April, followed by the distribution of Bibles and a feast of food to all that participate. Our goal is to reach over 500 Mouna students for Christ during these campaigns. We have already had a great start. Keep this upcoming campaign in your prayers.
In addition, our Jesus film ministry continues to target villages within the general area of our already-established churches. This ministry allows us access to new villages that have yet to have a church planted within a twenty-mile radius of their location. In the last village we targeted, we had a successful campaign with over 39 receiving Christ and opening the door to plant a new church there. God is always faithful!!!
Our next big project is raising funds to build a Christian school to educate our orphan children our church-going children, and the community at large. Our goal is to establish a school that runs 1st through 6th grade for over 200 children. We have the property for the school, we have the teachers, but we need $60,000 to build the three buildings. These buildings will hold the six classrooms, the offices, kitchen, and restrooms. It will be such a blessing to these children to be taught a Biblical curriculum. Please be in prayer with us that the funds would come in quickly so the building can begin. Please remember, every little bit given will go a long way toward accomplishing this blessing. You may send funds to IGM designated for Arnold Ivory Coast School. Thank you for your prayers and help.
ARNOLD FAMILY NEWS
Thank you for your many prayers for Denise. Her latest doctor’s visit showed that her creatine levels are holding above normal. Fortunately, they are not increasing. She has been put on shots to help minimize the damage. Still no progress on why she has minimal strength and can’t walk more than a few steps. Please keep her in your prayers.
As for my dad, who is 91 years old, he has been diagnosed with stage 4 kidney disease and metastatic cancer. He has been placed in hospice, and I am trying to spend as much time as possible with him during these days. Mom and Dad have been married for 69 years and Mom is struggling with the thought of losing her lifelong partner. They served in Cote D’Ivoire for over 44 years as missionaries. In addition, he pastored here until just this past January. Please keep our family in your prayers.
Aiden is a freshman in high school this year and loves playing on the JV soccer team. He is over 6 ft. one in height. Love that boy.
Thank you all for your prayers and support.

With Much Love,
Jim for the Arnolds

3. Continue praying for Denise’s health.
4. Pray for the upcoming campaigns in April that many would receive Christ.
5. Need $7,000 to finish a church we are building outside the city of Bouake.
6. Pray for protection for our pastors and their families as they serve in strongly Muslim areas.

Our prayer warriors and partners, thank you so very much for being there for the Lord’s work. From the bottom of my heart, I say a big thank you. Your decision to remain by our side is very much appreciated.

Dear Friends and Fellow Servants in the Gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
It’s my sincere hope and prayer that all is well with you and that our God has protected you and kept you for His own glory. Here in Kenya, my wife, Claris, and I and our children are doing well. God has been so gracious unto us. The church family at Voice of Hope Baptist Church is doing well. God has been so good to us.
Our dear brethren in the kingdom of God, I would like to humbly request for your prayer for God’s provision towards the pastor’s parsonage at Voice of Hope Baptist Church. For the last 10 yrs., my family and I have been living in a mud house at the church of which at the moment, the walls and the internal partitions are falling apart and lots of termites have invaded the standing poles to the point where we are not sure they will be able to hold the walls as the rainy season approaches. Hence, we are seeking for God’s provision to be able to put up a permanent house which will house my family and then we will renovate the old parsonage to host the children’s church. We had a discussion with the contractor and the advice is that the parsonage can be built in three phases 1) Foundations up to the window level @ a cost of $5,500, 2) From the window levels to the lintel $5,000 and 3) Roofing, finishing, and making ready for occupancy, $7000. Pray with me and my family and if the God of grace will lead you take part in this, kindly send your love offering to International Gospel Missions Rochester, NY.
May the God of grace bless you as you pray with me.

Sincerely Yours,
Franklin and Claris Ngala

Isaiah 7:14 “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”
God has been with us since our last update. We have witnessed His faithfulness in all the ministries. In our last letter, we asked prayers for a mission team that was going for evangelism. God used them in a great way. Seventy-seven people accepted Jesus as their Savior. Thanks for your prayers. Lord willing, Leah and some members from our church will take Bibles to the new believers on December 19th. Thanks to the Lord for providing. Please pray for them that they will grow in their faith.
The men’s prayer breakfast is growing. We started with one church and now two more churches are meeting. On December 12th, they all met at our church and there were 350 men. More have received the Lord as their Savior and others are growing in their faith. Lord willing, the plan is to start more in the other churches in our region. Please continue to pray.
We had VBS in our church and 5 children gave their lives to the Lord. Please pray for their spiritual growth.
Salome is the mother of 7 children. She is separated from her husband who is into drugs. She has left her children with her parents who are taking care of them while she is away trying hard to provide for them. We met her recently and learned of their great needs. We visited the family and we were touched to see how they are living. Their grandfather is an alcoholic. We shared Christ with him and he said he accepted Jesus as his Savior and promised to start going to church. Please pray for him. His name is James.
Praise the Lord with us for Blessing, one of our students, who graduated as a nursing assistant. Please pray that the Lord will provide a job for her.
The Lord has been faithful to our family. We have a lot for which to be grateful. We missed being together with our children and grandchildren for Christmas, but we thank the Lord that they will be together in Atlanta, GA, at our daughter, Ruth’s and her husband, Stephen’s home.
We wish to thank you, our partners, for supporting us in the ministry. You are very much a part of what God is doing. May the Lord bless you in a very special way.
We wish you a merry Christmas and a blessed new year.

In Christ’s Love,

Edoh Paul Assignon, Togo

Dear Friends,

The Lord in His marvelous grace protected us, fed us, clothed us, etc. all through the year 2025 which just ended. GLORY BE TO HIS NAME FOR ALL HIS PROVISIONS.
Family
Deborah has been having some pain from time to time, but she is doing much better. We will be bringing her to Lome this month for a check-up and probably to remove the cast. Nicole also continues getting treatment for her back pain and is following the doctor’s advice. I am still on my feet and continue doing what I can do for His glory. We want to thank you for your fervent prayers and for everything.
Nicole had a severe headache in December and went to see a doctor but there wasn’t one there. She was expected to return on January 5th to see a doctor.
Churches
Pastor Senghor, from one of the churches in Sokode, baptized 11 people on December 6th. Remember, Sokode is a town mainly populated by Muslims.
December 12th – 14th, Nicole and I were with all of our pastors and some of their wives. We drove about 300 miles to the meeting on December 12th. All of our pastors made the trip except for Pastor Kebe and his wife who serve in the town. On Saturday, December 13th, I taught on the subject: all believers are priests. We had a good discussion in the Word about this topic. We all worshipped at Pastor Kebe’s church on Sunday the 14th. I shared the Word and so did Pastor Seck and Pastor Senghor from Sokode. Oh, what sweet fellowship in the Lord.
My older brother had a stroke on December 3rd. He was in the hospital for three weeks and on oxygen for three days. He is home now but still cannot move his left hand or his feet. Please, pray for his total recovery.
I had a serious car accident on December 29th. A lady hit me from the back with her car. I was alone in the vehicle. I thanked the Lord for saving my life. The vehicle was damaged but can be repaired. I am taking pain medicine.
Each year, we celebrate Christmas time with our school children before they go on vacation. Almost half the school participated in the festivity this past Christmas.
WE WISH YOU ALL THE BLESSINGS OF THE SEASON AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR 2026.
