The sole mission of Artists Unlimited is to offer individuals with special needs the opportunity to perform and showcase their talents in a safe haven, and without the barriers or stereotypes often attributed to those who are disabled. We provide opportunity’s for, and celebrates the considerable talents of individuals with developmental, physical, or intellectual disabilities. We offer a truly un

ique and expressive experience to those individuals who may not otherwise have an opportunity to participate as actors in other venues. Since 2002 Artists Unlimited’s actors have dazzled audiences by performing Broadway caliber works with the message of inclusion and respect. In our 20 years we’ve produced dozens of musicals — featuring dazzling sets and costumes, a magnificent orchestra, flying sequences and of course our world-class performers. Popular family-friendly hits in our lineup have included: Wizard of Oz, Cinderella, Mary Poppins, Peter Pan, Annie, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, and Shrek The Musical. 🍫🍭 We’ve got a golden throwback for you today!

Our journey through 25 years of Artists Unlimited continues with our 9th production…W***y Wonka back in 2010!

From Oompa Loompas and golden tickets to the magic of the chocolate factory, this was a production filled with colorful characters, great music, and so many sweet memories! 💜

Looking back at these photos is such a special reminder of how much our cast members, and Artists Unlimited, have grown over the years. And the best part? The magic is still going strong 25 years later!

Today’s Cast Spotlight: Melissa ⭐️

Today we’re shining the spotlight on Melissa, who has been part of the Artists Unlimited family for an incredible 13 years!💜

Melissa started her AU journey with Voices and has since performed in 11 of our annual productions, including our Zoom productions during COVID! This year, she participated in Dances AND will be taking the stage in our 25th annual production of Peter Pan✨

When asked about her favorite AU memory, Melissa couldn’t choose just one, because for her, it’s really about the people. 💜 She loves meeting new people each year, reconnecting with old friends, and getting to do what she loves most…performing, dancing, and singing!

After 13 years, Artists Unlimited has become so much more than a place to perform for Melissa…it’s an extended family. She’s made lifelong friendships through AU that continue all year long, long after the curtain closes.

And as a HUGE Broadway fan, Melissa loves getting to be part of a full-scale production and sharing her love of theater with everyone around her!

THIS is what Artists Unlimited is all about.

One of our favorite moments in the production process is cast part announcements! Our director, Sarah Staebell, gathers everyone together and announces each role one by one, and the reactions say everything about the community we’ve built at AU.

In this video, you’ll see two of our cast members find out their roles in this year’s production of Peter Pan. But listen closely to what happens around them🥹

The cheers. The applause. The excitement.

It doesn’t matter how big or small the role may be. Our cast celebrates every single person. They are genuinely proud of one another and excited to see their friends have their moment to shine⭐️

That’s the magic of Artists Unlimited. It’s more than putting on a show. It’s creating a place where individuals of all abilities have the opportunity to take the stage, share their talents, build confidence, form friendships, and know that they truly belong.

An unforgettable day for some of our Artists Unlimited family!✈️

This past weekend, some of our cast members, families, and friends had the incredible opportunity to experience the International Airshow together! From watching amazing aircraft soar through the sky to sharing the excitement with friends who feel like family, it was a day filled with smiles, awe, and memories we won’t soon forget. ❤️

At Artists Unlimited, the connections made go far beyond the stage. We’re a community that cheers each other on, shares new experiences, and quite literally this weekend, looks to the skies together!

We’re so grateful for opportunities like these that bring our AU family together and remind us just how special this community truly is. 💜💛

Cast Spotlight: Rebecca!!

This week, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on Rebecca, who has been part of the Artists Unlimited family for 8 years💜🎭

Rebecca stays busy at AU! This year, she has participated in Dances, Voices Rise, AND now, will be in our annual musical, Peter Pan🎶✨

With eight years of memories to choose from, one of Rebecca’s favorites came just last year when she had the opportunity to perform in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat alongside her niece, Evelyn. 💕 Sharing the AU stage with family made an already special experience even more meaningful!

When asked what Artists Unlimited means to her, Rebecca shared:

💙 “This organization means a lot to me because I enjoy meeting new people and making lots of friends. This is a great organization for people with disabilities because we get to show audiences our abilities and talents.”

And THAT is what Artists Unlimited is all about! Creating opportunities for our performers to share their talents, build friendships, and show audiences just how truly UNLIMITED they are.

Rebecca, thank you for sharing your talents and enthusiasm with us for the past eight years. We can’t wait to see you take the stage again in Peter Pan this fall!

It takes a village to bring the magic of Neverland to life!

Peter Pan rehearsals are almost here, and our rehearsal space is getting a little extra TLC thanks to some incredible helping hands! 💜

A huge thank you to two amazing volunteers from Summit Federal Credit Union for spending time with us cleaning and preparing our studio alongside our wonderful cast member, Erica. Their kindness and willingness to serve are helping create a welcoming space where our cast can learn, grow, and get ready for our biggest production yet.

It’s amazing what can happen when our community comes together. Every act of service, big or small, helps make the Artists Unlimited experience possible.

We can’t wait to welcome our cast back and begin rehearsals for our 25th Anniversary production of Peter Pan!✨
