When you choose to donate your unwanted items to a ReStore, you're doing good for the community, the environment and for local families in need of safe, decent, and affordable homes. Donating keeps items out of landfills, provides local consumers with access to affordable and high-quality gently-used goods, and helps Two Rivers Habitat for Humanity raise funds that can be invested into the constru

Just a quick update for everyone. A vehicle had a collision with a transformer at the end of our complex. This is resulting in the ReStore not currently having power. RPU is working diligently to restore power to the area. We are hoping this will be fixed shortly. If we are still without power in the morning, we will let everyone know here.

A few people may have issues with calling and emailing. Without power our phone lines and computers will also not work. So if you cannot get through that is the reason. We apologize in advance if this causes anyone issues!

We wanted to send out a very heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated thier scrap metal, broken appliances, and wiring to us over the past year. For those of you who didn't know, we provide a free scrap metal recycling donation drop off service.

What does your scrap metal donation mean? Well let us tell you. When you drop it off, we have a dedicated team of volunteers who come in every morning. They go through all of the scrap metal donations, break them down, and separate out all of the different metals. They even take the time to cut apart motors and get those little bits of copper out of them. After this, we run the scrap metal to Watson recycling.

Now here's the fun part. Although it may not seem like much for you as its just a broken toaster or a bit of copper tubing left over from a job, this all adds up. Last year, our scrap program raised enough money to purchase the plot of land that is now going to be our next veteran home build in Owatonna. A veteran that will have a home that they can put their very own toaster on the counter. All because this wonderful community decided that they wanted to donate rather than throw it in the garbage can.
