We're thrilled to tell you that our Virtual Pride Cabaret will be hosted by former Miss Gay Syracuse, Samantha Vega!

“The winner of the 2020, and 2019 editions of the Salt City Drag Battle, she has been present in the Syracuse Drag scene since 2003 performing at Charades while representing Club Angles (Elmira, NY). Since then, Samantha has won the titles of Miss Gay Pride Rochester, Miss Gay Rochester, and then Miss Gay Syracuse in 2008. After winning, she promised she'd maintain a presence in Syracuse, despite being from out of town. Vega, went on to win CNY Entertainer of the Year in 2008, and the Miss Gay Pride Buffalo 2010.
Vega, self-appointed Resident Drag Grandmother of Syracuse, has been hosting the Sprinkles Fridays Drag Show at Rain Lounge every Friday Night. In whatever free time she might have, Vega volunteers with causes close to the LGBTQI+ community, and celebrates the intersectionality of q***r life and culture and being a POC. She's honored to be collaborating with CNY Pride and ensuring there is representation and validation for artists of color. Let us magnify your voices and help us celebrate LIFE. Yours, mine, OURS!
