Invite from Annie Morris to previous GCI participants...
Dear participants in the 2022 Nazareth College Inter-Faith Summer Program,
Hello, my name is Annie Morris, you may remember me from this past summer!
I am a senior at Our Lady of Mercy High School, and as a senior, I have a Motto Project requirement which is equivalent to a Capstone Project. I decided for my project that I would like to focus on expanding Inter-Faith learning and dialogue in my school. I will be creating a video in which I ask Mercy students of various religious traditions to reflect and share their answers to a few questions such as "What is your favorite faith tradition?".
Along with the voices of these Mercy students, I would love to have your voices in the video! Nora and I have been working on planning a date for a reunion of the summer group, and we have decided on the 21st of January at 11:00 am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church.
If you are interested in attending to be a part of the video or just to hang out, we would love to have you! Feel free to extend the invitation to be in the video to any family members, friends, or classmates you think would be interested as well!
And if you want to be in the video but are unable to attend, you can send me your response to the questions (I will send out a very short list of questions I plan to ask) filmed on a smartphone, laptop, etc, so that I can work out a way to include it as well!
anytime between 11-2 that anyone wants to come would be great!
Here are the questions:
- What is your favorite holiday, festival, or gathering that you celebrate within your faith tradition?
- How do you personally stay connected to your faith when you are not in your physical place of worship or around those with the same beliefs as you?
- Are there any traditions, prayers, customs, etc. that you have seen that are not part of your own faith but that you really admire?
You can cover any or all of these questions. Or again if you just want to stop by to hang out, not to be in the video, that is totally great as well!
