On Oct 8, immigration attorneys Shakira Hutchinson and Richard Link, civil rights attorney Don Thompson, and immigrant advocate Maria Garcia will provide attorneys with a practical overview of immigration law and its intersection with criminal and family court practice.

The program will cover immigration statuses and recent changes; how to identify and assess a client’s immigration status; the potential implications of immigration status in criminal and family court matters; available resources for attorneys and clients; and constitutional rights during street encounters with immigration law enforcement.

Health care should be within reach for every family. 💚

Enlace’s Pathways to Health program helps immigrant, migrant, and farmworker families navigate care and get support with needs such as transportation to appointments, prescriptions, medical supplies, and health information in their language.

“We’re grateful for the opportunity to help families overcome barriers to care and connect with the resources they need,” says Kenny Carmona, Enlace’s Manager of Operations and Program Support.

We’re grateful to the Latino Giving Circle and Rochester Area Community Foundation for a $5,000 award to help expand this work. Thank you to everyone who makes it possible to show up for our neighbors with care and dignity.
