Daniel Webster Council Update

Dear Scouting Family,

We sincerely hope you and your family are healthy and well.

We wanted to provide you with a quick update on the status of our summer resident and day camps. On Tuesday, the NH state re-opening taskforce approved and forwarded to the Governor their recommendations for opening camps including the safe operation of camps. We are still awaiting the Governor’s approval of these recommendations. We have disseminated the guidance to our working subcommittees for their review and recommendation to the Executive Board of the Daniel Webster Council. Those subcommittees range from property readiness to the evaluation of the risk of opening camp, to program delivery. On those committees we have medical professionals, camp program managers, and property management experts. We have also asked for your input via a recent survey and, in some cases, direct phone conversations with scout families listening to your questions and concerns.

We ask for your continued patience as we ensure we make the proper decision based on facts and input from all parties, with the best interest being the safety of our Scouting community. We encourage Scouting volunteers, parents, and the Scouts themselves to remain creative and engaged as you have done through many effective at-home Scouting experiences. Thank you for your continued commitment to ensuring Scouting endures.

Abnaki Day Camp will run From July 6 - 10
AT Turbo cam on 125 in Barrington NH

We will offer the following activities at camp.
BB's - Archery - Handi Carfts - Sports - scout skills -
Nature and water activities.
