Join us for Rifle Shooting Merit Badge on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Gamehaven Scout Camp (5015 Simpson Rd. SE, Rochester MN 55904).

Scouts will have the opportunity to complete all classroom requirements during the initial session. Blake Clermont has made arrangements with Southern MN Sportsman's Club to use their range for the shooting portion. Space is limited to 12 Scouts! This class will be led by camp rangemaster Blake Clermont. Dress for the weather- we'll be outside for a significant portion of the course.

Date: Wednesday -June 17, 2026
Time: Class starts at 5:30pm-8:00pm
Cost: $25/ Scout

Yesterday, we had the honor of surprising Mr. Matthew McCartney at Washington Elementary with the Elbert K. Fretwell Outstanding Educator Award.

Mr. McCartney has devoted 31 years to shaping young minds, with 26 of those years spent serving the Owatonna community. He is a proud educator at Washington Elementary, and known for his calm leadership, creativity, and ability to make every student feel seen and valued.

Congratulations, Mr. McCartney, and thank you for making a lasting difference in the Owatonna community!
