(One of Barbara Fiske Calhoun's favorite passages). Quarry Hill is an alternative community/artists colony, and also the family business of the Fiske family. QH is indefinable. It is a community, a creative retreat, and a business... and it is constantly changing. All kinds of people are welcome here as long as they are nonviolent. Our few rules--
No one may strike a child here, denigrate them, or neglect them. Here "Your children are not your children, but the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself." Animals are not to be hunted here or raised for slaughter. Thank you for being aware of the kids in the parking lot. We may ask you to move your car. Thanks

Happy Monday!! I’m sorry I haven’t been posting much. I have been busy with school and helping to take care of my mom. I am taking orchestra, choir, and drama this year!! I love them all!! My Mom is in so much pain. Her back is getting worse every day. They just got her surgery scheduled for October 23rd which was the first available date. They put her on a cancellation list, so we are hoping she can get in sooner. We still need to raise a lot of money to help with medical bills and other expenses. We appreciate any donations, good vibes, prayers, good thoughts, and shares!! I really appreciate anything that helps take stress off of my Mom and Dad. They do everything for me, and they always put me first. I will try to post more often! 💖-Meggy

Mikki has continued expanding her confidence throughout the habitats. Earlier this summer, she achieved a long-awaited milestone by venturing into Sleepy Hollow's valley, an area she had previously shown little interest in exploring. However, prior to this visit, Caregivers discovered both old and fresh signs of elephant activity in the valley, leading to speculation that Mikki, or perhaps Edie, may have already ventured down stealthily during overnight explorations.
