SPRING CLEAN-UP - MAY 15TH - This week the various neighborhood associations met to discuss issues that impact residents in the waterfront along the lake and ponds. One topic was to bring back the neighborhood clean-up campaigns that some of us participated in a few years back. The proposal (more information coming) is that on May 15th volunteers from the CBNA, Grand View Beach, Grand View Heights, and potentially Beattie Beach and Braddock Bay neighborhood associations meet at a town sponsored central location for a kick off breakfast. The groups would be dispatched to their various water front areas including the shorelines along Buck Pond, Long Pond, Cranberry Pond, and (if we have a beach) Lake Ontario. The town would provide all materials and protective equipment necessary. A lunch would be provided once the job is complete. PLEASE KEEP THIS DATE IN MIND - more information as it becomes available..

The Lakeview Community Church (located at 30 Long Pond Road at Edge mere Drive in Greece, NY) is holding a “Blood Drive” on
Saturday, April 10, 2021; from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, in the Fellowship Hall of the church? Would you please consider posting the attached flyer from the American Red Cross or distributing the flyer to members of your organization? The need for blood donations is constant! You can sign up atredcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS; or you can also contact Becky Hibbard at 585-506-2449 or email Becky at [email protected].

The American Red Cross is testing all blood, platelet, and plasma donations for COVID-19 antibodies. As part of that effort, plasma from whole blood donations that test positive for COVID-19 antibodies may now help current coronavirus patients in need of convalescent plasma transfusions.

Thank you for your help and cooperation.
Blessings and peace,
Dotti Fries, Secretary

"Supervisor Reilich is organizing a ZOOM update meeting for all neighborhood associations located in and around our shoreline. Their plan is to make available a presentation of the overall progress and plans for the REDI projects and how each project will impact and enhance the specific neighborhood groups. General updates will be provided by the Supervisor and he has asked that additional facts and specifics be presented by our Director of Planning and Economic Development and our DPW Commissioner."

Grand View Beach Association – neighbors living on Edgemere Drive from #2022 at the east end to #3394 at the west end are invited.

"Please note, it will be a closed meeting, we only want neighbors that live in the affected area of the project to be on the zoom call so that we can answer specific questions and address any concerns. It is not open to general residents who may want to participate just to find out “what’s up” from areas outside of the shoreline. This will be a continuing dialog which will of course be supplemented by our REDI bulletins that deal with the scope of ALL the projects."

"We will be asking that neighbors RSVP directly to the town – Indicate which neighborhood association they are affiliated with, provide an email address to send the ZOOM invite to as well as their home address for verification. Residents wishing to participate can RSVP to [email protected] directly."

The schedule is as follows so you can each share with your group:

March 2nd from 2:30 – 3:30 Grandview Beach Neighborhood Association

There is a great deal of information to share before construction begins on each of these projects and we feel given the current restrictions this is the best alternative to a face-to-face meeting.
