💙 Gabriel’s Story | Gentle Wings 🦋
On Tuesday, I was truly honored to capture portraits of Gabriel and his family as part of Gentle Wings’ memory-making sessions. 💙
Gabriel, Kevin, and their family have the sweetest hearts and spirits. It was a privilege to share these moments with them and help preserve memories that will be treasured forever.
Today, we are sharing Gabriel’s story, with gratitude to his mom for opening her heart and allowing us to share it with you.
Please keep Gabriel and his family in your thoughts and prayers as they continue their journey. 💙🦋
With love,Gentle Wings 🦋*Because pictures are priceless, and memories last forever.
"Gabriel has Austism and in June we were noticing changes thought it had to with the Austism diagnosis. Had went to primary to get referrals started and we were waiting. I started to noticed his balance, behavior changed and balance issues progressively getting worse from June to the beginning of September. It all came together Thursday September 10th when I went to his school to bring his book bag and discovered quick he was in the nurses office and had fell and hit his head twice that day. He was leaning against the wall most the day and still falling. We decided to take him in was referred to take him to the St Mary's emergency room where they did a CT and found a mass on his brain stem. They admitted him to the hospital so we could get an MRI. Saturday we got that MRI done and the results showed he has a tumor on his brain stem and diagnosed him with DIPG. Diffuse Intrinsic Potine Giloma. We were also told that the tumor he has is incurable. They have us 18 to 24 months that he has. We are currently doing proton radation for 6 weeks to shrink the tumor.
Gabriel loves animals, going to the zoo and sea life at mall of americe. At this time we are hoping to leave Ronald McDonald house on November 4th."
