Congratulations to LaShay Harris for highlighing the contributions of Hester C. Jeffrey. Ms. Jeffrey was an African American political and community activist, reformer speaker and suffragist. Jeffrey's leadership focused on political equality and women's rights. While residing in Rochester, NY, Jeffrey's reformist speaking and advocacy for women and Africam Americans was recognized by national suffragists and abolistionist organizers which led her to create initatives and organizations that currently exist on a national level.

During the Christmas Season the Rochester Genesee Valley Club identified Seniors to receive the gift of a laptop to help with their desire to have computer literacy and access to the internet. Joy was expressed by the receipients to have their very own laptops and to be able to continue their computer literacy at their own pace. Many thanks to Senior Expressions, Inc. for the computer donations and to SUNY ATTAIIN Lab for the computer classes.
