We’re a little over a month away from our inaugural Rooting & Rising Community EXPO and we are so excited to bring it to life on October 17!

This year’s EXPO marks an incredible milestone for Miss Julie’s as our first student cohort prepares to graduate. 🎓

The EXPO reflects so much of what we’ve seen help people grow and thrive along the way: access to education, new opportunities, meaningful connections, supportive resources, and a community that cares.

So we’re bringing all of that together under one roof through a FREE workforce and business development themed community event open to everyone.

Miss Julie’s School of Beauty is at the Child Advocacy Center’s Northeast Child Abuse Conference today and tomorrow to learn from some experts in the field and share about our work.

Michelle, our Rooting & Rising Coordinator, is at the tables with other organizations connecting with the community. If you’re at the conference and would like to know more about our student referral process for next year’s cohort or what our programs are up to, come find Michelle!

Did you know? Miss Julie’s has the first of its kind, in the nation, therapeutic and trauma-informed cosmetology program for survivors of s*x trafficking and those at risk of trafficking. Rooting & Rising is our community program with projects focusing on reaching folks where they are to build safe relationships.
