Update on Feta! 🏥

Feta has no major injuries or broken bones! 🦴 All wounds were superficial, the blood was from giant ticks popping, and she’s possibly so sore from being on the run or a minor accident.

She will be on strict crate rest and meds as we hope for a full recovery.

We landed Feta, because she was happy to comply to all things for cheese at the vet! Dr. Albosta suggested 🧀 cheese but as we chatted about it we thought she was too pretty to have a basic “cheese” name so Feta was suggested by one of the guys who helped catch her.❤️

Thank you to everyone who has helped and supported Feta!

We will keep you updated on her recovery and rehab process.

Operation Husky is complete! She's been on the run for a week if not more. Major thank you to the two guys keeping her fed, hydrated and for reaching out.

We need a name for her so give us your ideas!

She does have a vet appointment tomorrow at K-M Regional Veterinary Hospital so donations to her care would be appreciated!

Hey all! Jess here! 👋🙋

As you know I live a bit out of town near Grand Meadow. We have a friend trying to catch a husky that possibly has been roaming the area for a week. It sounds like someone had it once, but couldn’t keep it or find help and now another person is trying to catch it.

We would love to say yes to helping as we can house it until a foster or other rescue can step in BUT it sounds like it needs medical attention for a limp and bites/wounds to the ear and our rescue account has around $130…..

I don’t want to start a fundraiser until I know we have the dog so can ❤️ this post and share it if you’d help us get medical attention to this husky when and if caught!

Then once we have it, we can do an official fundraiser and get him seen!

Nicole hopping on, any and all posts of Elvira would be appreciated. She truly is a sweetheart and deserves to be in a home of her own instead of getting more and more comfortable in my home.

I’m honestly surprised she hasn’t had more interest. She is such a sweet little dog with so much love to give.

Elvira is about 2 years old, around 14 pounds, and has the energy and silliness of a puppy. She LOVES toys, sunbathing, cuddling, and being close to her people. She’s truly happiest when she’s near her person and would likely thrive in a home where someone is around more often than not — maybe someone retired, working from home, or simply looking for a constant little companion. ❤️

🐕 Up to date on vetting
🐕 No known health concerns
🐕 Good with cats
🐕 Loves to cuddle and give kisses
🐕 Smart, eager to please, and thrives for guidance
🐕 Needs a fenced yard
🐕 No apartments/shared-wall housing

Elvira can live with another dog, but she would do best with a confident companion that won’t let her push boundaries. She does resource guard with other dogs, though she has never shown any guarding behaviors toward people. In her foster home, she does best with dogs that have a little more confidence and structure.

She may need a few days to settle in with another resident dog, but overall she has integrated into foster care very well and has been one of the easier foster dogs to bring into a home.

Elvira’s story started in Mexico, where she was found living on the streets while heavily pregnant. She was taken in, gave birth to six puppies, and is ready for a fresh start. It’s finally her turn to find the loving forever home she deserves. 🖤

✨ A massive shout out to Angel's Touch Pet Spa ✨
When Angela heard about Chip, she came in to help him—no hesitation.

He was severely matted and uncomfortable, and thanks to her, he’s now feeling so much better and on his way to a fresh start. 💛

We are so grateful (and so was Chip)!!

Chip was neutered yesterday and everything went great. He's spending a couple of nights with one of our wonderful volunteers!

Here are a couple of pictures of him heading to and from his neuter..

He will be posted today and you can apply online.

Chip came from a breeder shutting their doors—17 dogs needing placement.

One by one, they all found rescue…

Except one.

Chip was the stowaway—the one we weren’t expecting to be there.

And after seeing the condition he was in, there was no way we could leave him behind.

So we named him Chip—like the little cup from Beauty and the Beast. 💙

Now look at him… 🐾✨

Clean. Comfortable. Smiling. Playing (with Alumni Chloe)!

Chip is being neutered tomorrow and is ready for his next chapter.

Momma Itty Bitty had some fun in the sun yesterday!

She also has great news! She had a meet and greet this past weekend and will be heading to her new home soon. ❤️

But, her pup Ash is still hoping for her home.

These two had a great visit at K-M Regional Veterinary Hospital yesterday and they recently finished all of their vaccines (Ash is still available, Cider is already adopted).

Ash was Ms. Social at her appointment and had to say hi to absolutely everyone. Staff, strangers, probably the walls… no one was safe from her kisses. 😄 She loves people, loves attention, and loves being part of the action.
